Appearance: Deep ruby red.

Aromas: Loaded of ripe black cherries, blackberries and currants, framed by integrated and elegant vanilla and cedar from the oak ageing.

Flavours: A powerful and muscular wine, but full of ripe sweet tannins that give it an extraordinary balance and beautiful texture. Nicely integrated oak completes a very complex palate with a lingering finish.

Ninquén (nin-ken), meaning ‘Plateau on a Mountain’, is the name of this unique Estate which is the first of its kind in Chile. Antu which in the Mapuche or “People from Earth” language means “Sun” is a range of wines inspired from this ancestral tribe, renowned for its perseverance. Antu Ninquén - “Sun of the Mountain”- is a premium wine that best sums up our philosophy: "Create and show only the best from our land".

Das chilenische Weingut Viña Mont Gras liegt im berühmten Colchagua-Tal, einer Subregion des Rapel-Tals in der Zentralregion Chiles, 192 Kilometer südwestlich von Santiago. Das Rapel-Tal hat Anbauflächen von mehr als 9.000 Hektar. Sie sind im Westen durch die Küstengebirge und im Osten durch die Anden geschützt. Die Flüsse Rio Cachapoal und Rio Tinguiririca durchziehen das Tal. Es bietet ein unverwechselbares Terroir für die Kreation hochwertiger Weine. Die wesentlichen Rebsorten sind Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Carménère, Malbec und Shiraz. Hinzu kommen, in geringerem Ausmaß, Chardonnay, Viognier und Sauvignon Blanc.

Die ersten Lagen der Viña Mont Gras wurden 1993 in der gerühmten Peralillo-Region mit Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay und Sauvignon Blanc bepflanzt. Im Laufe der darauffolgenden Jahre kamen neue Ländereien hinzu. Nun nennt das Weingut mehr als 900 Hektar sein Eigen, auf denen auch Viognier, Carménère, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, Malbec und Zinfandel heranreifen.

Hernán und Eduardo Gras sind gemeinsam mit Cristián Hartwig die Väter des erfolgreichen und international häufig ausgezeichneten chilenischen Weingutes. Hernán Gras wird mit diesen Worten zitiert: „Unsere Philosophie ist es, chilenischen Wein höchster Qualität zu kreieren, der die Einzigartigkeit des Terroirs widerspiegelt. Red Heads Coco Rotie Syrah Viognier
The small, aromatic Shiraz grapes from the McLaren Vale region come from vines that are more than 30 years old, forming the basis for the RedHeads Coco Rotie Syrah Viognier. On the nose, the red wine from Australia offers notes of raspberries, blackberries and apricots (resulting from the Viognier grape variety). The bouquet is complemented by nuances of dark chocolate, raspberry liquor and smoky notes of cedar and vanilla. MontGras Antu Chardonnay
The straw-yellow MontGras Antu Chardonnay from Chile is classic and elegant. The grapes for this single-varietal Chardonnay are pressed directly after the harvest and filled into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. Fermentation is partly natural and partly malolactic. The 13-month maturation in barriques gives the Antu Chardonnay its special notes of vanilla, pineapple, ripe peaches and a hint of pear. De Gras Reserva Carménère
Der De Gras Reserva Carménère stammt aus der Region Valle Central in Chile. Der Wein besteht zu einem großen Teil aus der Rebsorte Carmenere und einem kleinen Teil Merlot. Ausgebaut wurde er 5 Monate in französischen und amerikanischen Eichenfässern in einem 80/20 Verhältnis. Dabei waren ein Viertel der Fässer neu und der Rest im zweiten Gebrauch.Im Glas ist der trockene Rotwein purpurrot. Aromen reifer, schwarzer Früchte mit Gewürzen, Schokolade, Vanille und einer feinen Note von Toast ergeben ein wunderbar elegantes und komplexes Bouquet. Dieser Rotwein hat reife und weiche Tannine. Es ergibt sich eine außerordentliche Struktur und Frische.Der vegane Wein vom Weingut Montgras passt sehr gut zu süß-sauren Gerichten, zu Eintöpfen, Pasteten, Huhn und einige öligen Fischgerichten, besonders wenn sie ein wenig Pfeffer enthalten. Genießen Sie den Carmenere bei einer empfohlenen Trinktemperatur von 16-18 °C.
