This blend, mainly consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon and smaller percentages of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Malbec, has a wonderfully multi-faceted bouquet uniting nuances of liquorice and blackberries with intense notes of cassis and a lovely spice. This showcase blend from South Africa is impressively concentrated on the palate, underpinned by skilfully integrated tannins. The Delaire Graff Botmaskop matured for 16 months in French oak casks, of which 50% were new barrels.

Very deep, youthfull colour, intense almost purple hue. Very classic Rubicon nose with violets, ripe plum, cedarwood and intense spiceynesss. Still very young but brooding, promising further maturation potential. The palate is full bodied, structured but packed with fresh dark fruit and rounded, linear tannins.

The Springfield "The Work of Time" is a powerful, Bordeaux-inspired red wine cuvée from Robertson in South Africa.A spicy and sensual aroma on the nose, peppery and open. The broad and complex bouquet of Springfield The Work of Time is accompanied by vanilla, berries, cherries and a hint of chocolate. You can taste a smooth elegance on the palate and a slightly mature taste. There is also a light spiciness, vanilla aroma and cherry.The overall taste is smooth and well-rounded. The grapes were fermented entirely with indigenous yeasts (according to ancient custom) and left on their skins for 5 weeks. This was followed by 2 years of slow barrel ageing and a further 4 years of bottle ageing. The long wait is justified, because "The Work of Time" is a Bordeaux blend with a big statement.Enjoy this wonderful South African red wine from Springfield Estate with grilled ribeye, pasta with anchovies and black olives or old farmhouse cheese.

The Tokara Director's Reserve Red has a deep purple color with red brick tones on the rim. An intense and complex wine with aromas of dark berries and cassis on the nose. Der Boekenhoutskloof The Chocolate Block ist ein unverwechselbares Geschmackserlebnis aus Südafrika. In der Nase vereint dieser trockene Blend aus knapp drei Viertel Syrah (Shiraz) sowie kleineren Anteilen von Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Noir, Cinsault und Viognier vielfältige Noten: Intensive Kirschnoten, Kardamom, süßer Tabak, Espresso und ein Hauch von Parfüm kommen hier zusammen. Am Gaumen vollmundig und rund, mit sehr guter Struktur, erfrischender Säure, einer rauchigen Mineralität und Aromen von schwarzen Oliven, sowie Lakritz und reifen Pflaumen.Für 16 Monate wurde der vegane Wein aus der Region Franschhoek im Eichenholz ausgebaut, wobei zu 10% neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen.Der außergewöhnliche Rotwein passt ideal zu Pasta und Pizza, dunklem Fleisch (gebraten oder gegrillt), zu Geräuchertem oder zu mittelkräftigem Käse oder Hartkäse bei einer Trinktemperatur von 18 °C.Auch als 1.5-Liter-Magnum-Flasche erhältlich.
