The Cape Point Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc comes from one of the coolest and most maritime wine-growing locations in South Africa. The vineyards are located close to the Atlantic Ocean on the Cape Peninsula, where constant sea breezes and cool nights create ideal conditions for a Sauvignon Blanc with pronounced freshness, precision and mineral tension.

The grapes are selectively harvested and gently processed to preserve the clear fruit aromas and natural acidity structure. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, which preserves the freshness and expressiveness typical of the variety. Depending on the vintage, some of the wine remains on the fine lees, which lends additional texture and complexity.

On the nose, the wine is lively and aromatic with notes of gooseberry, lime, grapefruit and fresh passion fruit, accompanied by floral nuances and a fine salty minerality. On the palate, it is taut, precise and full of energy with clear fruit, animating acidity and a long, fresh finish. Its proximity to the sea gives it a distinctive maritime elegance and a special tension.

An excellent accompaniment to oysters, mussels, grilled fish, sushi, goat's cheese or fresh salads with herbs and citrus dressing. This Sauvignon Blanc also impresses as an aperitif with its cool, elegant style.

Noordhoek ist nur 33 km von Kapstadt entfernt und liegt auf der Kap-Halbinsel, die sich südwestlich des Tafelbergs bis zum Kap der Guten Hoffnung und zum Cape Point erstreckt. Mit Cape Point Vinyards entstand eine ganz neue kleine Weinregion: Cape Peninsula.

Die unmittelbarere Nähe zum Ozean, wo die kühle Meeresbrise für einen langsamen Reifungsprozess und aromareiche Beeren sorgt, und die ursprünglichen Böden der Weinberge von Noordhoek und Scarborough bieten ein ideales Terroir für die Produktion von erstklassigen Weißweinen. Dieser Wein hat in den vergangenen Jahren viele internationale Preise gewonnen. Unter anderem vom Decanter Magazine als „Best White Blend in the world over £15“ und 9 mal mit 5 Sternen von John Platter ausgezeichnet. Der zu 75% aus Sauvignon Blanc und zu 25% aus Semillon hergestellte Isliedh hat eine stark mineralische Note, die den Wein einzigartig als Essensbegleiter macht. Schon das Bouquet ist besonders komplex. Es zeigt florale Noten, sowie Aromen von Zitrone, reifem Obst, Marmelade und leichte Röstaromen. Am Gaumen ist der Isliedh von Cape Point Vineyard reichhaltig und lang. Der Wein schmeckt nach Pfirsich, Birne, Vanille, Backgewürz und zeigt einen Hauch von Ingwer, der lange im Abgang verweilt. Die Trauben für diesen herrlichen Wein stammen aus Noordhoek einer Gemeinde südlich von Kapstadt direkt am Atlantik. Die Reben sind einem ständig peitschendem Wind ausgesetzt, was kleine, aber sehr konzentrierte und gut strukturierte Ernten ergibt.
