Manz Leidenschaft Grauburgunder Kalkstein dry

This Manz Leidenschaft Grauburgunder Kalkstein dry from Rheinhessen combines notes of ripe pears and yellow apples with subtle aromas of vanilla and coconut from ageing in wooden barrels in its bouquet. On the palate, the Manz Leidenschaft Grauburgunder is dense and mineral, typical of this Manz creation from very stony, chalky vineyards. The white wine is wonderfully elegant and lingers on the palate.

The Manz family of winegrowers, who have received many national and international awards, use 30% wood for the ageing of this Pinot Gris, using tonneaux barrels with a volume of 500 liters. The majority of Manz Leidenschaft Grauburgunder Kalkstein is matured in stainless steel tanks.

The ideal drinking temperature for this Pinot Gris is 8 to 10 degrees. Enjoy this wonderfully refreshing white wine from Rheinhessen with seafood, aromatic sea fish, Swabian ravioli or a mature soft cheese. The light ageing in wood also makes it a good choice for more intense-tasting lamb dishes or light game dishes.

Dönnhoff Pinot Gris
The Dönnhoff winery in Rhineland-Palatinate, located on the Nahe River, is world-renowned for its white wines. This Pinot Gris is full of character and intense. On the palate, it is dry and full-bodied, yet not overpowering. The white wine aged for six months in classic large German oak barrels. Its pleasant fruitiness is nevertheless very pronounced, enriched by subtle oak notes. The grapes, which come from vines about 30 years old, ripened in the Middle Nahe region. Volcanic weathered soil and loess loam form the foundation for this fine white wine. Enjoy the Dönnhoff Pinot Gris as an aperitif or with fish dishes.
