The Boekenhoutskloof Porcupine Ridge Sauvignon Blanc is a lively white wine from the renowned Boekenhoutskloof vineyard in the Franschhoek Valley, South Africa. The grapes are carefully selected and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve the fresh aromas in the best possible way.

The white wine is a clear, pale yellow in the glass. The bouquet seduces with aromas of citrus fruits, grapefruit, kiwi and apple blossom. On the palate, it is fresh and lively with a balanced acidity structure and a dry, fruity finish.

This Sauvignon Blanc harmonizes perfectly with seafood, shellfish, vegetarian dishes and goat's cheese. Serve it well chilled at 8-10 °C to bring out its freshness and aromas.

Auf 20 ha Rebfläche werden zu 25% Weißwein (Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon) und zu 75% Rotweine (Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc) angebaut. Die Temperatur ist im Jahresdurchschnitt durch den Seewind aus Südosten etwas kühler. Die Art der Böden auf dem Gut sind unterschiedlich: von tiefen Schwemmböden am Ufer des Flusses bis zu harten Lehmböden und verwittertem Granit.

The Boekenhoutskloof Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant and powerful red wine from South Africa that impresses with its remarkable depth, structure and aromatic complexity. This red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon and a small proportion of Cabernet Franc comes from organically farmed vineyards in Franschhoek. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand, rigorously selected and then fermented spontaneously in egg-shaped concrete tanks. The wine is matured in 95% new French oak barrels - a vinification process that gives the wine its elegant texture, velvety tannins and characteristic roasted aromas.In the glass, the wine is a deep purple red. There are also nuances of liquorice, black tea and fine spices, which underline the aristocratic character of this Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate, the wine is concentrated but never overloaded. The fruit is densely interwoven with a fine minerality, the acid structure is precise, the tannins ripe and supple. The wine lingers on the finish - with notes of cassis, mocha and a hint of leather.The Boekenhoutskloof Cabernet Sauvignon is an ideal accompaniment to aromatic, spicy meat dishes. It goes particularly well with rack of lamb with a herb crust, braised beef with rosemary or game dishes with a dark sauce. This wine also reveals its full potential with mature hard cheese and hearty vegetarian dishes such as mushroom risotto.

Vibrant orange blossom, lemongrass, and beeswax bloom seductively on the nose, with undertones of ginger and spices. It boasts an impressive structure: this white wine is full-bodied and opulent, yet centered on a balanced acidity that lends momentum to its intense, seamless palate. The lively finish, with hints of pear, fennel, and fenugreek, lingers with a salty aftertaste. The Boekenhoutskloof Semillon comes primarily from one of South Africa’s oldest vineyards. The vines were planted in 1902 on alluvial soils with a high clay content. With its lanolin and other tertiary aromas, this wine is one of the most complex produced from vines ranging in age from 60 to 100 years.The grapes are whole-cluster pressed, and spontaneous fermentation takes place in classic barriques and concrete eggs. This South African Semillon is aged for 14 months at low temperatures without added sulfur. This results in a rich, broad, and rounded mouthfeel with appealing, fresh acidity.A high-quality pairing for hearty grilled dishes, fish dishes, or spicy pasta and poultry. On the palate, this red wine from South Africa is immediately very intense and full, with a sweetish spiciness.
