Beyerskloof Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

In einem dunklen Rubinrot funkelt der Beyerskloof Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot im Glas. Der südafrikanische Rotwein bietet ein anregend facettenreiches Bouquet. Es vereint Noten von roten Früchten wie reifen Pflaumen und Johannisbeeren mit nussigen Nuancen und einer schönen Würze. Dazu kommen Anklänge von Schokolade und Kaffee.

Am Gaumen ist der Beyerskloof Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot trocken und weich, mit mittlerem bis vollem Körper, merklichen, reifen Tanninen und einer feinen Aromatik (Cassis- und Eichenaromen). Der Rotwein aus der Western Cape-Region besitzt eine feine Säure und eine klare Struktur.

Im Jahre 1988 gründete Beyers Truter, einer der bedeutendsten Winzer am Kap und damals Winemaker bei Kanonkop Estate das Weingut Beyerskloof. Auf der Suche nach einer geeigneten Farm fand er in der Region Koelenhof nahe Stellenbosch das alte Gut mit Namen Nooitgedacht. Diese Farm war bis 1895 in Besitz der Familie Beyers, welche direkte Vorfahren von Beyers Truter waren. So konnte das erworbene Grundstück folgerichtig nur einen Namen tragen: Beyerskloof

Die Philosophie von Beyerskloof besteht in dem Bestreben mit den natürlichen Ressourcen ein unvergessliches, erstklassiges Weinerlebnis zu schaffen.

Eine Verpflichtung die Beyerskloof international bekannt gemacht hat und zum Beispiel durch den Gewinn der Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande Trophy für die beste Rotweincuvee der Welt beim INTERNATIONAL WINE & SPIRIT COMPETITION in London Ausdruck fand.

Beyers und sein Team von Beyerskloof treibt der ständige Wunsch, innovativ zu sein, vorausschauend zu denken und letztendlich die Nase vorn zu haben. Beyerskloof hat das Bestreben den alltäglichen Konsumenten zufrieden zu stellen.

Eine weitere Besonderheit ist die Hingabe an der Verbesserung der Pinotage Rebe zu arbeiten, so wundert es nicht, dass Beyers Truter Gründungsmitglied der Pinotage Association ist.

The Beyerskloof Synergy is a Cape blend like no other. As one of the first of its kind in South Africa, it combines the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the fruitiness of Pinotage and the softness of Merlot. A small proportion of Shiraz gives the red wine its spice and minerality. The wine matured for 14 months in first (10%), second and third fill French oak barrels.The color of the Beyerskloof Synergy Cape Blend is dark red and slightly shiny ruby red at the edges. The bouquet is almost effervescently intense of black fruits. The mouthfeel is juicy, soft and full-bodied. It is reminiscent of sweet cedar wood aromas, cherry and lots of black fruit. Diemersfontein Cabernet Sauvignon
This South African Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful entry to the world of wines from Diemersfontein. The Sonnenberg family winery is known primarily for its Pinotage creations, but also showcases its remarkable expertise in winemaking with this Cabernet Sauvignon. This red wine from the Wellington region offers aromas of black currants, sweet plums and cloves, complemented by wonderfully harmonious notes of dried herbs and vanillas as well as nuances of nuts and tar. Beyerskloof and Pinotage are the perfect combination in South Africa. Anri Truter, owner and winemaker at Beyerskloof, has long been known as South Africa's Mister Pinotage. Few devote themselves to this grape variety with such dedication.The Beyerskloof Pinotage Reserve was aged for 14 months in French oak. 10% of the wine was matured in new barrels and the rest in second and third-fill barrels. The Beyerskloof Traildust is a blend consisting of the Pinotage, Cinsault and Pinot Noir grape varieties. Everyone who knows that the Pinotage grape variety is a cross between Cinsault, also known as Heritage, and Pinot Noir immediately recognises the special quality of this wine.Winemaker Anri Truter, the owner of the Beyerskloof estate, thus united the ancient grape varieties with the new Pinotage cross.
