Setencostas Tinto DOC

The Setencostas Tinto DOC is a blend of four typical red grape-varieties in Portugal. Castelão, Camarate, Tinta Miúda and Preto Martinho give in this combination a tannin-driven, fruity wine.The bouquet is multi-faceted. Aromas of wild berries and dark cherries, some forest floor and balsamic notes such as mint and eucalyptus together offer a nice flavor. It is rounded out by notes of licorice. The Quinta da Boavista is located in the hills of the wine region Lisboa, about 50 kilometers north of Lisbon. Boavista means "beautiful view", which fully applies for this red wine from Portugal.Enjoy the Setencostas Tinto DOC to delicate dishes of pork and beef, meat in light sauces or mild cheeses.

Duas Quintas Douro Clássico Tinto - Red

Bright grenadine in colour with shades of violet.Mature aroma of forest fruit, blackberries, cherries, figs and cistus, with a floral hint. Smooth and fresh on the palate, with the length and expressive aromas characteristic of an Upper Douro wine.Handpicked grapes in 150-kilo crates, pressed, destalked and then fermented in steel vats at a temperature of no more than 25º. Maceration continues for long enough to produce a wine with the desired body and structure. Following malolactic fermentation in vats, 20% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels and the rest remains in the steel vats. The wine is bottled 18 months later.Excellent as an aperitif, it goes very well with soups, starters and salads. Also particularly recommended with dishes of fowl: roast chicken, duck risotto and quail, and with soft cheeses.

Niepoort Fabelhaft Tinto DOC

Notes of black cherries and blossoms as well as balsamic nuances and a lovely spice characterise the bouquet of the Niepoort Fabelhaft Tinto. This blend, consisting of local grape varieties such as Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Francesa and Touriga Nacional, is wonderfully fresh and vivid on the palate, showing a great balance, elegance, lots of fruit, balanced acidity and ripe, slightly sweet tannins.One fifth of the red wine matured for 12 months in used barriques made of French oak. This is an ideal starter wine to get to know the red wines from the Niepoort estate. It is a good accompaniment to vegetable casseroles, rabbit, lamb, veal, ham, tapas or medium-aged cheeses. The Niepoort Fabelhaft Tinto also goes beautifully with pasta with dark sauces or a vegetarian pizza.The label depicts a scene from Wilhelm Busch’s renowned picture story ‘Hans Huckebein der Unglücksrabe’ (Hans Huckebein - The Unlucky Raven). As animal stories that contain a moral are known as a fable (‘Fabel’ in German), the Niepoort estate decided to call this wine ‘Fabelhaft’ (meaning ‘fabled’ or ‘fabulous’ in German).

Die Trauben für den Esporao Reserva Tinto DOC Alentejo aus dem Weinanbaugebiet Alentejo in Portugal gedeihen auf Böden aus Ton und Lehm mit Granit und Schiefer Mutterfelsen. Die Reben der Cuvée aus Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Syrah, Trincadeira, Cabernet Sauvignon und Touriga Franca werden getrennt, geerntet und zerkleinert. Deep, intense garnet colour with reddish reflexes. Clear and brilliant colour.Very intense aromas of red fruits with undertones of toasted sour cherry.Very ample in the mouth, with great body and structure, the palate is fresh and very elegant.Malolactic fermentation took place in barrels (including new and one fill barrels) and 6,200 litre casks, both of French oak.
