Der Anthonij Rupert Protea Merlot repräsentiert einen Rotwein aus Südafrika, sorgsam produziert von der angesehenen Weinkellerei Anthonij Rupert. Mit einem charakteristischen Aromenspektrum präsentiert der Protea Merlot reiche Noten eines verführerischen Beerenkompotts mit würzigen Akzenten in der Nase. Am Gaumen setzen sich die Noten von roten Früchten wie Kirsche, Pflaume, Maulbeere und Brombeere fort. Begleitet werden diese fruchtigen Nuancen von subtilen Gewürz- und Vanillearomen, die dem Wein zusätzliche Tiefe verleihen und aus der 12-monatigen Holzreifung stammen. Die Textur dieses Merlot ist weich und geschmeidig, begleitet von sanften Tanninen.

Der Wein zeigt sich zugänglich, üppig und wunderbar rund. Die Aromen verweilen in einem langen, lohnenden Abgang.
