Italian Franciacorta ranks among the world’s finest sparkling wines. Thanks to substantial investments and the experience and passion of winemaker Marcello Monzio Compagnoni, the winery - located in the province of Brescia—has established itself as one of the best. For the Monzio Compagnoni Franciacorta Brut DOCG, the winery uses the Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grapes typical of Franciacorta, which originate from Lombardy.

In the glass, the Monzio Compagnoni Franciacorta Brut DOCG displays a brilliant golden-yellow color. Its effervescence is fine and intense. The bouquet offers aromas of peach and apple, as well as a hint of yeast and toasted bread. The taste is fresh and fruity. The Franciacorta has a well-balanced finish.

For optimal enjoyment, serve this refreshing sparkling wine at a temperature of 6–8°C with sushi, oysters, and lobster, or on special occasions.

In 1995, Franciacorta was granted DOCG status. A prerequisite for this is bottle aging for at least 18 months.
