The grape composition for the red wine Le Volte dell Ornellaia Rosso Toscana IGT comes from the slopes of the Tenuta dell' Ornellaia vineyard in Tuscany. The full-bodied red wine is made from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grape varieties and impresses at first glance with its deep, dark purple-red color.After careful decanting, the bouquet opens up with finely spiced nuances of mulberries, cherries and cocoa beans. This aromatic composition is underpinned by the delicate spice of Mediterranean herbs and an exceptionally fine acidity. Finally, the fruity composition on the palate is surprising, giving the red wine a wonderfully soft and silky finish.As Le Volte Rosso is a good storage wine, it will accompany you for a long time with dishes such as game, dark meat or strong poultry. The recommended drinking temperature is between 16 and 18 °C.

Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva 2021

Man könnte den Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG als kleinen Bruder des berühmten Tignanello bezeichnen, kommen doch die Trauben von der gleichnamigen Tenuta Tignanello. Allerdings muss sich dieser Rotwein auf keinen Fall vor dem großen Bruder verstecken. Er hat seine eigene, sehr elegante, Stilistik.Die Ernte und Weinbereitung fanden unter perfekten Voraussetzungen statt. Nach einwöchiger alkoholischer Gärung im Edelstahltank, reifte der Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva für 12 Monate in französischen und ungarischen Barriquefässern. Anschließend verbrachte der Wein weitere 12 Monate zur Verfeinerung auf der Flasche bevor er auf den Markt kam.Der Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva besteht zu 90% aus der Rebsorte Sangiovese. Die restlichen 10% setzen sich aus Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc und anderen autochthonen Rebsorten der Region zusammen. Der trockene Rotwein funkelt rubinrot im Glas. In die Nase gelangen Noten von Sauerkirsche, Lavendel, Veilchen und Blutorange. Dazu gesellen sich Noten von Leder und Tabak um am Ende eine feine Holznote und dunkle Schokolade zu zeigen. Am Gaumen ist der Marchese Antinori Reserva voluminös und breit. Ein lebendiges Geschmackserlebnis mit einzigartiger Tanninstruktur, stets präsent aber weich. Das Finale zeichnet sich durch Aromen roter Früchte und ein wenig Lakritz aus. Ein Wein an dem man viele Jahre Freude haben wird.

Mazzei Concerto Di Fonterutoli Rosso Toscana IGT 2020

One of the forerunners of the Supertuscans, first created by Mazzei in 1981, and still an outstanding red wine from Chianti today: the Mazzei Concerto Di Fonterutoli is also a composition in the 2020 vintage that is exuberantly celebrated by international wine critics. In this quality class, it is almost a bargain from Castello di Fonterutoli, located around 20 kilometers north of Siena.The Concerto Di Fonterutoli is a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The bouquet of this Italian red wine is exceptionally multifaceted. "An extremely aromatic red wine," writes James Suckling, who awards it 96 points. After opening the bottle, you can look forward to the scent of blackcurrants, dark plums and ripe cherries. These notes harmonize perfectly with the scent of herbs, earthy tones and a beautiful spiciness (white pepper) as well as nuances of leather and a fine minerality.Dry and powerful on the palate, with a variety and depth of flavors that are not easily found a second time. "Full-bodied and yet so crisp and juicy on the palate with crushed blackberries and raspberries. Citrus-influenced acidity," says Suckling. Monica Larner, who awarded the Concerto Di Fonterutoli 94 points in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, writes: "There is plenty of sweet fruit on the palate, followed by beautifully integrated, dry tannins." The finish lingers for a long time and is engagingly elegant.A guarantee of enjoyment in the "exceptional wine" category until 2040. The Concerto Di Fonterutoli matured for 18 months in oak, with the Sangiovese being aged in tonneaux (500 liter barrels) and the Cabernet Sauvignon in French oak barriques (225 liter barrels). This was followed by a three-month refinement of the blend in cement tanks.Finally, these words from wine critic Antonio Galloni about the Mazzei Concerto Di Fonterutoli 2020 (95 points): "The 2020 is a beautiful wine that captures the essence of the house style wonderfully. Mazzei Siepi Toscana Rosso IGT 2020

"Monumental": that's what the makers of Castello di Fonterutoli themselves write about their Mazzei Siepi 2020. And what can we say: they're right. The red wine from Tuscany is an outstanding creation. The blend of 50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot from the Chianti Classico region has enchanted international wine critics. "An exceptionally beautiful wine. I love it," says Decanter (98 points), for example, while Monica Larner writes in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (95 points): "The Mazzei 2020 Siepi is a magnificent vintage."The bouquet of the Italian red wine seduces with its complexity and the wonderful interplay of fruit, spice and floral notes. "Graphite and pencil come through, along with violets and blackberries. Also some tar and asphalt," writes James Suckling, who awards 98. Castello di Fonterutoli itself discovers crunchy elderberries, plums, berries, sandalwood and tobacco on the nose, while Decanter says of the bouquet: "Dried herbs and sweet spices on the nose, forest notes with blackberry fruit, concentrated and expressive." Cherry notes also characterize the bouquet.On the palate, the Mazzei Siepi 2020 is dry, wonderfully soft and at the same time crisp and fresh, with impressive elegance and depth. The fruitiness is fascinating. "Such a smooth transition on the palate, the tannins glide over the tongue and give the sweet strawberry, raspberry and plum fruit time to expand in the mouth," enthuses Decanter. Aromas of blueberry and blackberry also enrich the play of flavors. Everything is round and in perfect balance, with a fabulous length.This Super Tuscan matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, 70% of which were new barrels. The Merlot was matured in barriques (225 liter barrels), the Sangiovese in tonneaux (500 liter barrels). The blend was then aged for three months in cement tanks.The Mazzei Siepi 2020 is already a real treat. However, it has enormous ageing potential. Suckling writes: "Already ready to drink, but will age gracefully for decades." The makers of Castello di Fonterutoli expect it to age for more than 20 years.Enjoy the Mazzei family's creation with a fine blue cheese. More pleasure is not possible.

The 2020 vintage of Orma Toscana Rosso is another red wine from Tuscany that has been showered with praise by international wine critics. The Super Tuscan from the Sette Ponti winery easily clears the high 90-point hurdle in the wine ratings year after year. For the 2020 vintage of Orma, it received 94 points in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 97 points from James Suckling and 96 points in Falstaff, among others.The Supertuscan is a blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc. The bouquet of the dark ruby-red Orma is simply fantastically multi-faceted. Monica Larner writes in the Wine Advocate of notes of "wild plum, blackberry jam, dark spices and dried tobacco". Suckling judges: "Tobacco, sage and rosemary come into their own, along with red currants and cassis", while Falstaff chooses these words: "Intense nose with notes of cloves, some mint, fine blackberry, slightly earthy components in the background."On the palate, the Italian red wine from Sette Ponti, located around 65 kilometers south-east of Florence, is dry and incredibly dense and powerful, with masterfully integrated tannins and exceptional roundness. "Full-bodied and yet polished, with a solid and dense mid-palate," is Suckling's verdict and Falstaff's praise: "Spreads out beautifully on the palate, has lots of fine, hearty tannins, beautiful juiciness, crisp fruit and a long finish."After tasting the Orma Toscana Rosso 2020, Monica Larner recommends: "A wine of this depth and magnitude is best served with a classic T-bone cut bistecca alla Fiorentina."If you are lucky enough to be able to open one of the limited-edition Super Tuscans, you should enjoy the Orma 2020 at a drinking temperature of 15 to 18 degrees. Aged for 14 months in barriques, this red wine from Tuscany is an outstanding drinking pleasure until 2042. Enjoy it to the full!

Peppoli Chianti Classico DOCG 2023

Der Pèppoli Chianti Classico ist ein Rotwein aus der Toskana, den das Ausnahme-Weingut Antinori seit 1985 kreiert und der weltweit eine große Fangemeinde hat. Im Glas strahlt dieser italienische Rotwein aus den malerischen Landschaften zwischen Florenz und Siena rubinrot. Der Pèppoli Chianti Classico duftet herrlich fruchtbetont nach Kirschen, Johannisbeeren und Erdbeeren. Dazu kommen wunderbar harmonische Noten von Blüten. Vor allem Veilchen und Lavendel sind hier prägend. National and international wine critics have awarded the Petra Hebo Rosso Toscana IGT top marks. Connoisseurs can rejoice: you can't get much better value for money.The red wine from Tuscany is a creation of 55% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Franc. The bouquet of Petra Hebo is wonderfully complex. It combines notes of mulberries, black cherries, blueberries and red plums with hints of pureed tomatoes. Floral nuances (peonies, violets) and a fine minerality as well as hints of tobacco and earth complete the bouquet.On the palate, this red wine from Italy is dry with a medium body. The Petra Hebo is remarkably fresh and juicy, with soft, skillfully integrated tannins. The finish is wonderfully fruity and aromatic.The Petra winery, run by Vittorio Moretti and his daughter Francesca, is located in Suvereto, just over 100 kilometers south of Pisa. This is where the ruby red wine Hebo is produced. It matures for at least 12 months in oak barrels, with second and third-fill barrels being used.Enjoy this excellent wine from Tuscany at a drinking temperature of 14 to 16 degrees. Tip: Decant the Petra Hebo one hour before drinking. This ruby red wine is the perfect accompaniment to game dishes or pasta with creamy sauces.

Petra Quercegobbe Merlot Toscana IGT 2019

Dieser Rotwein aus der Toskana ist eine weitere Kreation des Weingutes, die die Weinbaukunst der Macherinnen und Macher von Petra unter Beweis stellt. Regelmäßige Punktebewertungen der nationalen und internationalen Weinkritik jenseits der 90 Punkte untermauern den Erfolg des Projektes, hinter dem Vittorio Moretti und seine Tochter Francesca stehen. Der Petra Quercegobbe hat eine intensive rubinrote Farbe. Intensiv fruchtige Noten von Heidelbeeren, Himbeeren, Schwarzkirschen und Pflaumen prägen das Bouquet. Sie harmonieren wunderbar mit würzigen Noten von Rosmarin und Myrte. Nuancen von Lakritz, Zimt und Pfeffer vervollständigen den Duftstrauß. Am Gaumen ist der reinsortige Merlot trocken und vollmundig, mit kräftigem Körper und großer Eleganz. Seidige, wunderbar eingebundene Tannine, eine merkliche Mineralität und eine feine Säure ergeben ein ausgewogenes Zusammenspiel. Der Petra Quercegobbe besitzt eine bemerkenswerte Frische und ein harmonisches Finale, das noch länger nachklingt.6 bis 7 Monate reifte dieser italienische Rotwein im Eichenholz, wobei zu 20% neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen. Im Anschluss wurde der Wein 6 bis 7 Monate in der Flasche verfeinert.
