Petra Quercegobbe Merlot Toscana IGT

In der kleinen Gemeinde San Lorenzo, etwa 60 Kilometer östlich von Grosseto, befinden sich die Weinberge, auf dem die Trauben für den Petra Quercegobbe heranreifen. Dieser Rotwein aus der Toskana ist eine weitere Kreation des Weingutes, die die Weinbaukunst der Macherinnen und Macher von Petra unter Beweis stellt. Regelmäßige Punktebewertungen der nationalen und internationalen Weinkritik jenseits der 90 Punkte untermauern den Erfolg des Projektes, hinter dem Vittorio Moretti und seine Tochter Francesca stehen.

Der Petra Quercegobbe hat eine intensive rubinrote Farbe. Intensiv fruchtige Noten von Heidelbeeren, Himbeeren, Schwarzkirschen und Pflaumen prägen das Bouquet. Sie harmonieren wunderbar mit würzigen Noten von Rosmarin und Myrte. Nuancen von Lakritz, Zimt und Pfeffer vervollständigen den Duftstrauß. 

Am Gaumen ist der reinsortige Merlot trocken und vollmundig, mit kräftigem Körper und großer Eleganz. Seidige, wunderbar eingebundene Tannine, eine merkliche Mineralität und eine feine Säure ergeben ein ausgewogenes Zusammenspiel. Der Petra Quercegobbe besitzt eine bemerkenswerte Frische und ein harmonisches Finale, das noch länger nachklingt.

6 bis 7 Monate reifte dieser italienische Rotwein im Eichenholz, wobei zu 20% neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen. Im Anschluss wurde der Wein 6 bis 7 Monate in der Flasche verfeinert.
