Working in Tuscany in recent years, or more precisely in the legendary Bolgheri wine-growing area, Dr. Antonio Moretti created a red wine that fascinates the international wine critics - the Orma, which means "footprint" in Italian. In the immediate vicinity of the legendary Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, the Podere Orma also launched the second wine Passi di Orma, with the first vintage in 2015. And this red wine, albeit in the role of little brother, has also enchanted the wine world.

The Passi die Orma Bolgheri Rosso is an assemblage of 40% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc. This outstanding red wine from Tuscany has intense aromas of blackberries, whortleberries, blueberries, and cherries. This marvelous fruitiness harmonises perfectly with notes of coffee and licorice. Nuances of black pepper round off the bouquet.

On the palate, the dry Bolgheri wine is beautifully soft and balanced. The fine acidity and the powerful yet exquisite, perfectly integrated tannins produce a taste experience you won’t forget any time soon.

The deep ruby red Passi di Orma aged for six months in used barriques. Enjoy this sophisticated Tuscan wine at a temperature of 16 °C - you’ll want to decant the wine an hour before enjoying it. As a solo entertainer, this Italian red offers everything you need for a delightful evening, but it also enhances your meals as well. Nuancen von Lakritz, Zimt und Pfeffer vervollständigen den Duftstrauß.  Am Gaumen ist der reinsortige Merlot trocken und vollmundig, mit kräftigem Körper und großer Eleganz. Seidige, wunderbar eingebundene Tannine, eine merkliche Mineralität und eine feine Säure ergeben ein ausgewogenes Zusammenspiel. Der Petra Quercegobbe besitzt eine bemerkenswerte Frische und ein harmonisches Finale, das noch länger nachklingt.6 bis 7 Monate reifte dieser italienische Rotwein im Eichenholz, wobei zu 20% neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen. Im Anschluss wurde der Wein 6 bis 7 Monate in der Flasche verfeinert.
