The Cantina Andrian Lagrein Rubeno matured for six months in oak casks and underwent natural malolactic fermentation during this time. On the nose, the pure varietal Lagrein from South Tyrol offers impressive aromas of ripe berries, violets and dark chocolate. On the palate, the garnet-red wine shows lots of fruit, a fresh lightness, velvety, soft tannins, a full body and an aromatic finish.

Serve the Lagrein Rubeno from the Cantina Andrian estate situated in the eponymous village in the South Tyrolean mountains with pizza, red meat and cheeses.

Das Weingut Cantina Andrian liegt an der Südtiroler Weinstraße im Etschtal. Auf etwa 285 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel schmiegen sich die Weinberge des Weingutes um das Dorf Andrian an den Berg. Cantina Andrian ist bereits 1893 gegründet worden und war damit die erste Genossenschaftskellerei Südtirols. Die kontinuierliche Entwicklung der Arbeit kombiniert mit Fleiß und Gespür tragen bis heute dazu bei eine Qualität zu erzeugen, die seines Gleichen in Südtirol sucht. Das führte letztlich auch zur Übernahme durch die Kellerei Terlan im Jahre 2008.

Der Tradition verbunden wird mit Hingabe, Leidenschaft und Verbundenheit zu Natur und Rebstock an der Weiterentwicklung der Weine für die Zukunft gearbeitet. Das einzigartige Terroir ist geprägt von lehmhaltigen Kalkgestein, welches mit weißem Dolomitgestein durchsetzt ist. Das mediterrane Klima verwöhnt die Trauben an den nach Osten ausgerichteten Hängen mit viel Sonne. Die Niederschlagsmengen sind übers Jahr konstant und der durch die Tallage seichte Wind fördern ein gesundes Wachstum des Traubenmaterials.

The Lagrein grape variety was first mentioned in 1379 and is one of South Tyrol's indigenous red wine varieties.The Terlan winery ages its Lagrein for twelve months, partly in large wooden barrels and partly in barriques.
