The Cantina Andrian Lagrein Rubeno matured for six months in oak casks and underwent natural malolactic fermentation during this time. On the nose, the pure varietal Lagrein from South Tyrol offers impressive aromas of ripe berries, violets and dark chocolate. Cantina Andrian

Das Weingut Cantina Andrian liegt an der Südtiroler Weinstraße im Etschtal. Auf etwa 285 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel schmiegen sich die Weinberge des Weingutes um das Dorf Andrian an den Berg. Cantina Andrian ist bereits 1893 gegründet worden und war damit die erste Genossenschaftskellerei Südtirols. Die kontinuierliche Entwicklung der Arbeit kombiniert mit Fleiß und Gespür tragen bis heute dazu bei eine Qualität zu erzeugen, die seines Gleichen in Südtirol sucht. Das führte letztlich auch zur Übernahme durch die Kellerei Terlan im Jahre 2008.

Der Tradition verbunden wird mit Hingabe, Leidenschaft und Verbundenheit zu Natur und Rebstock an der Weiterentwicklung der Weine für die Zukunft gearbeitet. Das einzigartige Terroir ist geprägt von lehmhaltigen Kalkgestein, welches mit weißem Dolomitgestein durchsetzt ist. Das mediterrane Klima verwöhnt die Trauben an den nach Osten ausgerichteten Hängen mit viel Sonne. Die Niederschlagsmengen sind übers Jahr konstant und der durch die Tallage seichte Wind fördern ein gesundes Wachstum des Traubenmaterials.

If you are interested in the original wines of South Tyrol, Terlan Gries Lagrein Riserva DOC is a must. The Lagrein grape variety was first mentioned in 1379 and is one of South Tyrol's indigenous red wine varieties.The Terlan winery ages its Lagrein for twelve months, partly in large wooden barrels and partly in barriques. The red wine made from 100% Lagrein impresses with its color, aroma and taste. It shimmers a deep ruby to garnet red in the glass. Lagrein is a leading grape variety in South Tyrol and is currently being rediscovered by wine lovers.The Terlan Lagrein DOC is velvety, elegant and full-bodied. Its dark garnet red color shimmers mysteriously in the glass, the bouquet flatters the sense of smell with clear fruity aromas of cranberry and sour cherry. This is accompanied by fine nuances of lilac and laurel, flint notes and a hint of chocolate. The Lagrein is full-bodied and harmonious on the palate, with a fine texture and delicate tannins.The Lagrein from the Terlan winegrowers' cooperative was allowed to mature in large wooden barrels for seven to ten months.Serve this dry red wine from Italy at a comfortable drinking temperature of 14 to 16 °C.
