Rubinrot mit violetten Reflexen schimmert der Batasiolo Barbera d’Alba im Glas. Der Rotwein aus dem Piemont duftet herrlich anregend nach Pflaumen und Kirschen. Dazu bereichern florale Noten das Bukett (Veilchen und Rosen). Hintergründige, würzige Noten komplettieren den Duftstrauß.

Am Gaumen ist der Rotwein aus dem Piemont vollmundig und trocken, mit einer angenehm milden Säure, viel Fruchtigkeit (süßliche, schwarze Früchte), Nuancen von Schokolade und einer tollen Frische. Das Finale ist angenehm weich.   

Die Trauben für den Batasiolo Barbera D'Alba werden in Edelstahltanks vergoren. Etwa 40 Prozent des Weines reifte für ein Jahr in Barriques aus französischer Eiche heran, der übrige Teil in großen Holzfässern aus slawonischer Eiche. Nach der Vermählung des Weins ruht er noch für gut zwei Monate im Edelstahltank.

Mit diesen komplexen Duftaromen bereitet die Nase Ihren Mund optimal auf ein gehobenes Geschmackserlebnis vor. Dort entfaltet der tiefviolette Wein einen vollmundigen und finessenreichen Geschmack, der lange bleibt. Die Tannine sind präsent, dabei aber seidig und fein umschlossen von der süßlichen Frucht des Weins.Der Braida Montebruna Barbera wird zu 100 % aus der Barbera-Traube hergestellt und stammt aus der Topweinlage „Montebruna Cru“ im Piemont. Die Trinktemperatur für diesen klassischen Wein beträgt idealerweise 15-17 °C.Er ist ein idealer Wein für den Alltag und begleitet exzellent italienische Gerichte wie Risotto und Pasta. The taste experience is a rare balance (thanks to the vintage) between opulence, freshness and spiciness on the finish." International wine critics also agree that Barbera d'Asti is something special: 94 points in Wine Enthusiast and 90 points from James Suckling speak for themselves.The varietal Barbera combines notes of ripe cherries, raspberries and sweet tobacco in its bouquet. "Vinous aromas of freshly pressed grapes, fragrant blue flowers and ripe blueberries together with a hint of graphite and undergrowth" form the inviting bouquet, according to the Wine Enthusiast. Suckling attributes "plenty of elderberries, vanilla, plum stone and dark chocolate" to the Italian red wine.On the palate, the red wine from Piedmont is stimulatingly complex, with a full body, noticeable wood and an impressively fresh softness and roundness. The beautiful, fruity depth of aroma (cherries, blackberries) is also evident here. A great harmony develops in combination with the velvety tannins.
