Saignée means, translated from French, bleeding or bloodletting. Basically, Saignée rosé is a by-product of red wine production: the red grapes are crushed as usual. Before the fermentation of the must begins, the vat is "bled", i.e. a small proportion of the must is drawn off to produce the rosé.Enjoy this German rosé at a drinking temperature of 7 to 9 degrees. The cherry-pink sparkling wine, matured in stainless steel tanks, is an impressive aperitif. But the Landerer Saignee Rosé is also a very good choice as an accompaniment to grilled fish or Mediterranean starters.
