Château Phélan Ségur 2019

Phéan Ségur has been at the top of the Saint Estéphe appellation, the northernmost wine-growing commune in the Médoc, for years. The wines here are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, very terroir-oriented and absolute marathon runners. A good Saint Estèphe should always be left to mature for at least 10 years before enjoying it.2019 was also a brilliant vintage in Saint Estèphe, resulting in an equally great grape juice.56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon found their way into the cuvée, which impresses with its very deep and multi-dimensional bouquet. Lots of dark berries, precious woods, cassis, coffee and chocolate. Dichtverwobener, vielschichtiger, cremiger, fein opulenter, burgundischer Gaumen mit fein konzentrierter, cremiger Struktur, sehr viel feinem Tannin, süsser, super Aromatik, kräftiger, feiner Frucht, sehr langer, aromatischer, frischer Abgang mit vielen Rückaromen. Chateau Poujeaux Moulis-en-Medoc AOC 2020

Château Poujeaux 2020 is an outstanding wine from the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, one of the smaller but highly regarded regions on the left bank of Bordeaux. The estate, whose origins date back to the Middle Ages, is known for its consistent quality work and its ability to produce wines with strong character and longevity year after year. The 2020 vintage benefited from a balanced climate with warm days, cool nights and an ideal ripening period, resulting in excellent concentration and elegance in the grapes.The cuvée of the 2020 vintage consists predominantly of Cabernet Sauvignon (54%), supplemented by Merlot (40%) and Petit Verdot (6%). This classic Bordeaux composition reflects the terroir character of the gravelly soils in Moulis particularly well and ensures complexity and depth.In the glass, Château Poujeaux 2020 is an intense, deep ruby red. The nose reveals a multi-layered bouquet of dark berries, particularly cassis, black cherry and blackberry, accompanied by floral notes such as violets as well as cedar, tobacco, cocoa and a hint of graphite - typical of the Left Bank style.On the palate, the wine impresses with density and elegance. The tannins are finely polished, the texture silky, and yet the Poujeaux 2020 has a powerful structure. The fruit aromas are concentrated but not overripe, accompanied by fresh acidity and a beautiful mineral note. The finish is long, harmonious and shows very good ageing potential.The 2020 vintage is considered by wine critics to be one of the best in the winery's recent history. James Suckling awarded it 93 points and praised its "precise structure, purity and depth". Wine Advocate and Vinous also emphasized the balance of power, freshness and elegance. The wine is already very appealing when young, but has the potential to mature for 15 to 20 years, during which it will continue to grow in complexity.Château Poujeaux 2020 is a classic but modern Bordeaux with depth, structure and finesse. It combines the typical virtues of a Médoc wine - power, elegance and ageability - while at the same time displaying an accessible fruit and finesse that makes it very attractive even when young. An excellent representative of its terroir with a convincing price-performance ratio.

Château Pré la Lande Cuvée Diane AOC 2016

Wir freuen uns, Ihnen diese spezielle Cuvée des Château Pré la Lande präsentieren zu können. Nicht nur, weil dieser Wein aus dem herausragenden Jahr 2016 stammt; auch weil er vegan ist, produziert nach dem "Demeter"- Standard und anerkannt unter dem Gütesiegel "AB", dem vom französischen Agrarministerium vergebenen offiziellen Siegel für Erzeugnisse aus biologischem Anbau.Das Château und die Weingärten liegen in Pineuilh, an einem Hang der Appellation Sainte Foy Côtes de Bordeaux, wo der Boden ausschließlich aus Ton auf einer Kalksteinschicht besteht. Das ist die Garantie für einen Wein, der Eleganz und Persönlichkeit vereint.Die Kaltmazeration wird nur unter Verwendung wilder Hefen durchgeführt. Es werden keine Sulfite während der Weinbereitung eingesetzt. Die Maischegärung dauert 5 Wochen. Die anschließende Reifung erfolgt für ca. 15 Monate in hochkarätigen französischen Eichenfässern von 300 Litern, wovon 40% neu sind. Die Assemblage besteht aus Merlot und Cabernet Franc.Die Farbe dieses wunderbaren trockenen Bordeaux ist tiefrot, die Nase ist komplex mit Aromen von roten und schwarzen Früchten, Zedernholz, Vanille und Wildkräutern. Im Mund findet man eine Mischung aus Kraft und Eleganz. Die Tannine sind fein und dicht, aber sehr gut eingebunden. Das Finale ist lang und weich mit Aromen von roten Früchten.Ein toller französischer Wein, aus umweltschonendster Herstellung, der bereits jetzt trinkreif ist, aber sicherlich noch einige Jahre auf dem Höhepunkt bleiben sollte.Als Solo-Wein prima zu genießen, aber auch passend zu Grillfleisch, Ratatouille oder Pasta-Gerichten.

Château Rieussec 2014

Ninety-three per cent Semillon, 5 per cent Sauvignon Blanc and 2 per cent Muscadelle unite to create the Chateau Rieussec 2014. This wine has a lot to offer. Its fascinating, multi-layered bouquet offers aromas of honeydew melon, citrus fruit, wild flowers and candied fruit, along with harmoniously integrated notes of wood. René Gabriel writes about this wine, ‘The grapy bouquet offers notes of light sultanas, boiled nectarines and pectin, with a subliminal toughness.’ He awards it 18 out of 20 possible points.Initially, the Chateau Rieussec 2014 is discreet on the palate. Subsequently, it shows a great fullness. In addition, the wine has a clear sweetness, a lovely acidity and a perfect balance as well. This is once again an outstanding Sauternes wine that is awarded an impressive 95-97 points by critic Neil Martin in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.

Roc de Levraut, gelegen südlich von Saint Èmilion, ist ein kleines Weingut, das sich bereits seit drei Generationen im Besitz der Familie Ballarin befindet. Der Name resultiert aus dem felsigen Untergrund der Rebflächen, über welchem sich ein Boden aus Lehm und Kalk befindet, der nicht die schlechtesten Voraussetzungen für den Anbau eines Bordeaux Supérieur bietet.Die Familie Ballarin setzt hierbei auf traditionellen Weinbau und stellt Jahr für Jahr Rebsäfte her, die von ausgezeichneter Frucht geprägt und herrlich zugänglich und frisch sind. Sie brauchen sich nicht vor so manchem großen Namen verstecken, bieten aber den Vorteil, dass ihr Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nahezu konkurrenzlos ist, da die kleinen Weingüter oftmals "unter dem Radar" durchfliegen.Die Cuvée wird dominiert von Merlot. Der Roc de Levraut ist von rubinroter Farbe. In der Nase viel Kirsche, Schattenmorellen, schwarze Früchte, Waldbeeren, Backpflaumen, dunkle Schokolade und etwas Vanille. Am Gaumen eine schöne Balance von Frische und schöner Struktur, das Finale ist von guter Länge.

Château Roc de Segur Bordeaux AOC 2019

This classic red Bordeaux comes from Entre-Deux-Mers, the region between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, and we can attest to its exceptional value for money. The excellent 2019 vintage, which ranks alongside 2015, 2016 and 2018, naturally plays an important role in this.The vines of this cuvée, which consists of 70% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, are on average over 30 years old. The Roc de Segur is vinified in steel tanks and matures there for a further 10 months, which gives this grape juice an extraordinary freshness and fruitiness.Raspberries and many other red fruit aromas greet us on the nose. The body is full-bodied and well-structured, with silky and already well-integrated tannins. The finish is impressively long.This wine is just as convincing on its own as it is in combination with braised, grilled or matured cheese.However, as it is still quite young, allow the Roc de Segur to decant for at least an hour. In return, however, it should have a shelf life of several years.

James Suckling spricht sogar davon, Zitat: „Dies könnte der beste Rosé der Welt sein“. Nun genug der Superlative und zur eigentlichen Beschreibung.Der Château Routas Rosé Provence hat eine zart hellrosa Farbe. In der Nase finden sich frische Noten der Wassermelone, Pfirsicharomen und Noten von Erdbeeren und ein Hauch von Orangenschale. Am Gaumen ist dieser Rosé weich, geschmeidig und wunderschön strukturiert. Der lebendige Geschmack nach Walderdbeeren, Kirsche wird begleitet von mineralischen Noten und einer leichten Pfefferwürze. Die knackig frische Säure trägt zum erfrischend langen Abgang bei.Kellermeister und Önologe Jean Louis Bavay, der sein Handwerk bei der Domaine Ott gelernt hat, ist ein leidenschaftlicher Arbeiter. Château Rozier Saint-Émilion Grand Cru AOP 2021

Saint-Émilion, located on the right bank of Bordeaux, is still not only one of the best wine-growing regions in the Bordelais, but in the whole world. The reputation of the grape juices that come from there is no coincidence. The silkiness, freshness, fruit, volume and depth give these wines something unique. It is a good thing that these values are also represented by wines such as Château Rozier, which offer this at a reasonable price without putting too much strain on the wallet.The Rozier, which is vinified from Merlot and Cabernet Franc, was allowed to mature in peace. There was no time pressure during the harvest, which was done by hand. The wine was matured for around 15 months in oak barrels.The Rozier is characterized by a sparkling, deep red. Sweet plums, licorice, stewed fruit and some spices form a fine and seductive bouquet that is harmonious, soft and opulent. Typical of a genuine Saint-Émilion, the wine is also full-bodied and dense in texture.
