Scheiblhofer Blaufränkisch Jois

The Scheiblhofer Blaufränkisch Jois was matured for 18 months in new French barriques. For wine connoisseurs, this combination of new wood, the characterful Austrian grape variety Blaufränkisch (Lemberger) and the winemaking skills of the top Scheiblhofer winery guarantees an exceptional taste experience.

This red wine from Burgenland has a seductive aroma of blackcurrants, cherries and ripe blackberries. The fruity notes harmonize wonderfully with notes of chocolate, cloves, tobacco and toasted oak.

On the palate, the creation by Erich Scheiblhofer, named Austria's Winemaker of the Year by Falstaff magazine in 2021, is powerful, with very present, ideally integrated tannins and an intensely fruity depth of aroma (black cherries). With a stimulating acidity and a spicy finish that is accompanied by notes of black berries, tobacco and coriander.

This single-varietal Blaufränkisch (Lemberger) will continue to be a delight until 2033. Peter Moser awarded this Austrian red wine 92 points in Falstaff magazine.

Decant the Scheiblhofer Blaufränkisch Jois before drinking and enjoy this red wine at a drinking temperature of 16 to 18 degrees. The deep purple Jois with its delicate ruby red rim is a wonderful accompaniment to dishes with lamb or beef with strong, spicy sauces.
