With great care, consistency and flair, Austrian winemaker Birgit Eichinger creates her highly elegant wines with a strong character. She not only puts her head but also her heart into her work and demonstrates her skills in her creations, such as the Grüner Veltliner Lamm Kamptal DAC.

The Lamm vineyard is located on the south-eastern part of the Heiligenstein. The terroir is loess-loamy, characterized by the geology in the subsoil by the elements of the Heiligenstein (sandstone, volcanic stone, strong silt content) and the slope leans to the south. The geographical location and the vineyard make it possible to produce exceptional Grüner Veltliners that guarantee elegance and grace.

The hand-picked grapes are pressed in October. The resulting must is left on the skins to extract as much aroma as possible from the berry skins. This is followed by spontaneous fermentation and ageing in large and small wooden barrels. The white wine matures for 6 months on the lees, after which it is bottled in August.

The Birgit Eichinger Grüner Veltliner Lamm Kamptal DAC is a dry white wine with great potential. The inviting bouquet is characterized by fine blossom honey, a hint of tangerine zest, yellow currants and a delicate scent of white nougat. On the palate, the Grüner Veltliner is juicy, elegantly supported by fine fruit sweetness and yellow drop fruit nuances. Lively acidity, subtle spice aromas with a smoky undertone and hints of beeswax are noticeable. The finish is long-lasting.

Der Ockfener Bockstein ist eine Lage in einem Seitental der Saar. Diese Lage zeichnet sich durch besonders hohe Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Tag und Nacht aus, da am Tag praktisch kein Schatten die Trauben trifft. Der Boden besteht aus geröllartigen grauem Schiefer, was dem Wein eine unglaubliche Würze verleiht. Durch einen oberhalb des Weinbergs befindlichen Wald wird immer ausreichend Wasser gespeichert, sobald auch in trockenen Perioden eine optimale Versorgung der Reben sichergestellt ist. In der Nase viel Zitrusfrüchte und eine Menge an floralen Noten. Ergänzt durch Aromen von Flieder, Veilchen, Melone und einem Hauch mineralische Note.
