Curatolo Arini Paccamora Catarratto IGP 2023

Die Catarratto Trauben für den Curatolo Arini Paccamora Catarratto IGP stammen aus ausgewählten Weinbergen gelegen im Westen Siziliens. Die Weinberge sind durch sandige, lehmige Böden gekennzeichnet und liegen 300 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. Hier werden die Reben Richtung Osten gepflanzt, so dass die Trauben sich durch den Einfluss der morgentlichen Sonne und des kühlenden Windes zu reich aromatischen Früchten entwickeln können.Nach dem Entrappen und einer folgenden 12 stündigen Kaltmazeration werden die Trauben sanft gepresst und 10 bis 12 Tage lang bei kontrollierter Temperatur von 16 bis 18°C in Edelstahltanks vergoren.Der italienische Weißwein zeigt sich in einem Zitronengelb im Glas und schimmert grünlich. Aromen exotischer Früchte, weißer Blüten und Kräutern der Provence umschmeicheln die Nase. Geschmacklich ist der Paccamora ein eleganter Wein ausgezeichnet mit einer frischen Mineralität und Noten von Steinobst wie Nektarine und Pfirsich.

The d'Arenberg The Hermit Crab Viognier Marsanne is a white wine full of character from the d'Arenberg winery in McLaren Vale, Australia. d'Arenberg The Olive Grove Chardonnay 2023

The nose is aromatic, enriched with white flowers, tropical fruits, apples (Granny Smith) and nectarines.The palate has considerable weight with a lovely mid palate of peach, lime and a hint of brioche. Zesty acidity leads to a long zesty finish on the palate with a hint of cashew nut, and faint, fine textured tannin. The cool year is reflected in the balanced, delicate flavors of the McLaren Vale fruit.A small portion of The Olive Grove Chardonnay underwent natural fermentation and batonnage for added complexity and mouthfeel. Maturation took place in a mixture of new and used French and used American barrels and stainless steel tanks. None of d'Arenberg's white wines undergo malolactic fermentation, as the retention of fresh, natural acidity is considered an integral part of the wine's balance and longevity.

With d'Arenberg The Stump Jump Lightly Wooded Chardonnay, gorgeous aromas of peach and honeydew melon dominate the nose with a nice dose of green apple freshness and a hint of spicy oak in the background.Nectarines complete the party on the palate with chalky acidity and a lovely mouthfeel reminiscent of custard. The oak is very subtle and brings texture and a hint of supporting spice notes.The berries are harvested from plots in the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale vineyards. After careful crushing, the juice is gently extracted from the skins using a basket press. 60% of the juice from the d'Arenberg The Stumpf Jump Lightly Wooded Chardonnay is partially or fully fermented in a blend of older French and American oak barrels to add a hint of spice and mouthfeel. After fermentation is complete, winemakers taste-test all batches to determine which best complements this smooth and fruity style of Chardonnay.With a plate of fresh seafood, chicken or salad, you simply can't go past this little gem.
