Atzei Saragat Cannonau di Sardegna DOC 2021

Der Saragat Cannonau di Sardegna DOC ist ein Produkt des sardinischen Weinguts Tenuta Atzei, das zur Fantini Gruppe gehört. Fantini steht für außergewöhnliche, aussagekräftige Weine, in denen sich Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft vereinen. So wie in diesem weichen, mittelschweren Rotwein, der zu 100% aus der Cannonau Traube, in Frankreich Grenache genannt, besteht. Die Rebsorte ist arm an Taninnen und Farbe und ergibt sehr fruchtbetonte, aromatische Weine.Die Gärung des Rebsafts findet bei kontrollierter Temperatur von 26 bis 29°C statt. Danach erfolgt eine kurze Lagerung in Edelstahltanks. Das Ergebnis ist ein trockener Rotwein, der mit seinen intensiven Aromen von reifen, roten Früchten wie Kirschen und Brombeeren jeden Genießer überzeugt. Hinzu kommen betörende Noten von Veilchen und Trockenblumen. Die Farbe ist rubin rot.

Azagador DO Crianza 2018

Dieser Crianza vom jungen Weingut Pago de la Jaraba duftet nach frischen Beeren, Eukalyptus und einer feinen Würze. Hinzu kommen die angenehmen Holztöne. Am Gaumen ist dieser Tempranillo weich und elegant. Der rubinrote Wein aus der La Mancha-Region ist ein Blend aus weit überwiegend Tempranillo und kleineren Anteilen Cabernet Sauvignon und Merlot. 10 Monate wurde er in französischer und amerikanischer Eiche ausgebaut, wobei hauptsächlich amerikanische Eiche zum Einsatz kam.

Der Babylonstoren Babel Red Blend ist ein Rotwein aus Südafrika, der mit nahezu 50 % vor allem von der Rebsorte Shiraz (Syrah) geprägt ist. Der hochwertige, in französischem Eichenholz ausgebaute Blend wird von Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot und Pinotage vervollständigt. Das Ergebnis ist ein Rotwein, der im Endergebnis des Jahrgangs 2021 „bewundernswert“ ist. Dieses Urteil stammt von Christine Rudman, die dem Babel Red Blend in John Platter’s Wine Guide 4 von 5 Sternen verleiht. Das intensive, komplexe Bouquet des rubinroten Weins vereint Noten von Kirschen, Brombeeren, Maulbeeren und Pflaumen. Diese Fruchtigkeit harmoniert wunderbar mit Noten von Vanille, dunkler Schokolade sowie tragenden Eichennoten. Rudman erkennt „dunkle Früchte, Tabak und herzhafte Gewürze“.Am Gaumen ist der Babylonstoren Babel Red Blend trocken und meisterhaft ausgewogen. Die Assemblage besitzt einen vollen Körper, angenehm weiche Tannine und eine dichte Struktur. Das Aromenspiel wird geprägt von saftigen, schwarzen Früchten, die wundervoll harmonieren mit Aromen von Tabak und Graphit. „Das Tanninrückgrat gibt Definition und Fokus“, urteilt Rudman. Das Finale hallt noch lange nach. Genießen Sie den Babylonstoren Babel Red Blend bei einer Trinktemperatur von 16 bis 18 Grad. Babylonstoren Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

„Schon zugänglich, aber das Beste kommt erst noch.” So etwas liest man gern, auch beim Babylonstoren Cabernet Sauvignon. Denn der südafrikanische Rotwein ist ein kleines Fest für die Sinne, das schon jetzt jede edle Tafel bereichert. Aber, wie Christine Rudman in John Platter’s Wine Guide schreibt, das Beste liegt noch vor uns. 4 von 5 Sternen verleiht Rudman dem im Eichenholz ausgebauten Cabernet.Das Bouquet des pflaumenroten Weins ist einnehmend komplex. Noten von dunklen Beeren (Johannisbeeren) im wunderbaren Zusammenspiel mit Noten von Wildkräutern, Graphit und Zedernholz. Rudman schreibt dem Duftstrauß Noten von „Mokka-Schokolade & Cassis-Düfte“ zu.Am Gaumen ist der Babylonstoren Cabernet Sauvignon trocken, kraftvoll und meisterhaft ausbalanciert. „2020 ist opulent, seine Saftigkeit am Gaumen passt zu den kompakten Tanninen aus 18 Monaten Eichenholz, 40 % neu“, heißt es im Platter. Das Finale klingt noch eindrucksvoll lange nach. 18 Monate reifte der Rotwein von Babylonstoren - gelegen zwischen Paarl und Stellenbosch, etwa 50 Kilometer östlich von Kapstadt - in 300 Liter-Fässern aus französischer Eiche. 40% neue Fässer sowie 60% Fässer zweiter und dritter Füllung kamen zum Einsatz.

The bouquet seduces with intense aromas of blueberries, plums, blackberries and dark cherries, complemented by fine notes of cedar wood, tobacco and a hint of oregano, thyme and fresh walnuts. This masterful cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec matures in French oak barrels, which gives it additional complexity and depth.On the palate, this wine develops a full-bodied and velvety texture, supported by strong, well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity. Babylonstoren Shiraz 2021

This impenetrable ruby red Shiraz (Syrah) from South Africa is fruity and impressively fresh. At the same time, it impresses with a fine spiciness thanks to its long maturation in oak. Wine critic Christine Rudman was also impressed by the Babylonstoren Shiraz. She awards the Shiraz from the Cape 4 out of 5 stars in John Platter's Wine Guide.The bouquet combines intensely fruity notes of blackcurrants and cherries with spicy notes of black and white pepper and leather. The bouquet is underpinned by perfectly harmonizing woody notes. Rudman chooses these words: "Wonderfully perfumed, elegant berries and cherries, mixed spices with white pepper."The Babylonstoren Shiraz is dry on the palate, with a full body and supple, masterfully integrated tannins. The aromatic complexity is wonderful: flavours of cherries, plums and blackcurrants in fine interplay with nuances of chocolate and an underlying spiciness. The velvety mouthfeel and long-lasting finish round off the flavour experience. Rudman: ‘The 2020 surprises with a streamlined body, juicy & supple.’This South African Shiraz was matured in oak for a total of 18 months. Babylonstoren used 70% new and 30% second-fill French oak barrels (300 litres) for this high-quality Syrah. This red wine is a guarantee of enjoyment until 2030.Enjoy this creation from Babylonstoren, located between Paarl and Stellenbosch, at a drinking temperature of 16 to 18 degrees. Backsberg Blueberry Row Pinotage 2022

The Blueberry Row Pinotage from the Backsberg winery combines five generations of South African winemaking tradition with modern craftsmanship. The vines grow on dark, nutrient-rich soils of oakleaf and weathered granite, which create ideal conditions for this characterful grape variety.Vinification is gentle: the color is extracted during the first days of fermentation, the red wine is pressed early, aged immediately in oak barrels and bottled after 12 months.
