Pago de la Jaraba ist eine junge, blitzsaubere Bodega im Herzen der D.O. La Mancha unweit vom Ort Villarobledo. Selten sieht man eine Bodega so völlig aus einem Guss, ausgerüstet und ausgelegt, um Spitzenweine zu machen. Die Bodega ist modern und sehr stilvoll. Sie ist umgeben von 80 Hektar eigenen Weinbergen und von einem Wald, eine unglaubliche Seltenheit in der Mancha.

Die Weinberge sind extrem gepflegt. Sie liegen auf 750 m Meereshöhe. Die Rebsorten sind Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon und Merlot. Die Ausstattung des Kellers lässt das Herz jedes Önologen höher schlagen. Es bleibt kein Wunsch offen.

Die Barriques für den Ausbau der Weine liegen unterirdisch in schön gestalteten Schiffen. Im Zentrum der unterirdischen Hallen befindet sich der ?dormitorio?, das ist der ?Schlafsaal?, in dem die Weine in der Flasche reifen. Pago de la Jaraba ist geprägt vom Willen zur Schönheit. Das teilt sich den Weinen mit und dem Besucher.

The Coto de Imaz Rerserva is brick-colored with orange nuances typical of Rioja. Delicate notes of berries and jam dominate the palate, wrapped in smoky spice aromas and vanilla tones. This red wine is finely balanced with noticeable but incredibly soft and mild tannins and an intense, complex structure. The finish is long-lasting and elegant.The grapes come mainly from the clay soils of Rioja Alta, but also from the limestone soils of Rioja Alavesa. After the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by 16 to 18 months of ageing in American barrique barrels. The Coto de Imaz Rerserva then matures in the bottle for at least two years before being released for sale.An excellent accompaniment to game dishes, confit de canard, grilled red meat or ham. Also wonderful with medium-aged, not too spicy cheese.
