The Saint Clair Pioneer Block 1 Foundation Block Sauvignon Blanc has a light straw-yellow color with a greenish tinge. Block“ auch eine heitere Anspielung auf die ersten Reaktionen der Weintrinker beim Genuss dieses aromatisch vollen Weines: „Oh my goodness what amazing flavours!“.Die Trauben des reinsortigen Sauvignon Blanc stammen aus einem einzigen Weinberg gelegen an der O'Dwyers Road im unteren Rapaura-Gebiet nördlich vom neuseeländischen Blenheim. Dieser Standort hat fruchtbare, tiefgründige Schlickböden. Nach der Ernte wird der Saft sofort abgepresst, sodass der Kontakt mit der Schale gering bleibt. Die Gärung findet mit einer Vielzahl ausgewählter Hefen in Edelstahltanks bei kühlen Temperaturen statt, um Fruchtaroma und Frische zu bewahren.Der Saint Clair Pioneer Block 6 "Oh Block" zeigt sich im Glas in einem blassen Grün.
