Pulpo Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc comes from the renowned wine regions of Awatere Valley and Wairau Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand. The cool, maritime climate—with plenty of sunshine, low rainfall, and well-drained, moderately fertile soils—creates ideal conditions for Sauvignon Blanc and gives the wine its expressive freshness and distinctive aromas.After the grapes are crushed, the must remains in contact with the skins at a low temperature for six to eight hours to extract the full aromatic potential. Temperature-controlled fermentation then takes place at 14 to 16 °C in stainless steel tanks. Gentle handling throughout the entire winemaking process preserves the freshness and varietal character of the Sauvignon Blanc.On the nose, the wine presents classic aromas of juicy tropical fruits and lively citrus notes. Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Chardonnay 2024

With its pale golden color and intense and complex aromas of white peach and honeysuckle, the Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Chardonnay impresses. There are also hints of savory bacon and rounding oak notes.Taste: A wonderfully full-bodied and rich white wine with complex stone fruit aromas and a hint of spice. Underlying savory oak notes and subtle yeasty characters add to the complexity. On the palate, it is elegant and full with firm acidity and a long finish.Aging potential:Perfect for immediate enjoyment. This Chardonnay can age wonderfully with careful storage in the bottle and is still perfectly drinkable four years after bottling.Winemaking: The grapes were carefully hand-picked and pressed whole to ensure that all the defining terroir characteristics and fruit flavors were retained. The wine was fermented in 100 percent American oak (50 percent in new oak barrels, 25 percent in second-fill barrels and 25 percent in third-fill barrels). Selected yeast strains were used for fermentation. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation and matured on the lees for ten months with regular pumping over. Only the best barrels from each batch were selected to make the final blend.Perfect with salmon, strong cream sauces or roast chicken.

The shallow location and the maritime, slightly cooler climate with a prolonged ripening process ensure a slow development of aromas and a pronounced freshness. The healthy foliage and the rows of vines, which deviate slightly from the classic north-south orientation, also contribute to the characteristic aromas of this single-vineyard wine.The grapes come mainly from a single vineyard and are carefully monitored and harvested in the cool evening hours at optimum ripeness. The must is pressed immediately after harvesting to minimize contact with the skins and preserve freshness. After clarification, fermentation takes place with selected yeasts at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The flat location on deep, fertile and well-drained soils as well as the maritime climate with cooler temperatures and extended ripening process ensure a particularly intense aroma. The proximity to Cloudy Bay has a temperature-balancing effect and favors a long growing season with pronounced freshness and minerality.The grapes are carefully monitored and harvested at optimum physiological ripeness in the cool evening hours. To avoid oxidation, the must is pressed immediately after the harvest and then clarified. Fermentation takes place with selected yeasts at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and fruit aromas. The wine is selected as part of the Pioneer Block series due to its particularly high concentration of aromas.On the nose, the wine displays lively aromas of white peach and blackcurrant, accompanied by a mineral note reminiscent of wet stone. The Saint Clair Pioneer Block 3 "43 Degrees" Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Pioneer Block series of the Saint Clair winery in New Zealand and expresses the special terroir of the "Block 3" site in an impressive way.The vines in this growing area are planted at an unusual angle, 43 degrees north-east to south-west. Hence the special name for this particular, pale straw-colored wine. The slightly greenish character of the grapes on the south side and the more tropical character on the north side result in the unique complexity of the wine.The grapes were pressed as quickly as possible to minimize contact with the skins and to harvest the juice's greatest potential. Dieser Standort hat fruchtbare, tiefgründige Schlickböden. Nach der Ernte wird der Saft sofort abgepresst, sodass der Kontakt mit der Schale gering bleibt.
