The Beyerskloof Synergy is the epitome of Cape wines. As one of the first of this type in South Africa, it unites the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruitiness of Pinotage and the softness of Merlot. A small percentage of Shiraz, Cinsault and Pinot Noir gives the Beyerskloof Synergy its spice and minerality. It matured for 14 months in first- (10%), second- and third-fill French oak casks.The Beyerskloof Synergy Cape Blend is a deep red in the glass, with a slightly shimmering ruby-red rim. Its bouquet offers extremely intense notes of black fruit. On the palate, the wine is juicy, soft and full-bodied, recalling sweet aromas of cedar, cherries and lots of black fruit. The beautifully integrated tannins wonderfully support the Synergy Cape blend’s balance and complexity. The Beyerskloof Traildust is a blend consisting of the Pinotage, Cinsault and Pinot Noir grape varieties. Everyone who knows that the Pinotage grape variety is a cross between Cinsault, also known as Heritage, and Pinot Noir immediately recognises the special quality of this wine.Winemaker Anri Truter, the owner of the Beyerskloof estate, thus united the ancient grape varieties with the new Pinotage cross. One might suppose that this was a bold experiment. However, after several years of trying the estate produced a wonderful wine. The Beyerskloof Traildust is, so to speak, a tribute to the legacy of the Pinotage.The wine has a wonderful bouquet offering aromas of black cherries, plums and flowers, accompanied by subtle hints of spice. It is a brilliant ruby-red in the glass. On the palate, the wine is juicy and fresh, with soft and balanced tannins. This is an elegant blend that is a rare find indeed.The Beyerskloof Traildust matured for 12 months in French oak casks, giving the wine its balance and power to accompany duck or game carpaccio, for example.

The Blake Family Wines Amethyst is an elegant and multi-layered red wine that impressively reflects the terroir and winemaking tradition of South Africa. Originating from the Swartland wine region, Amethyst is a blend of Pinotage, Shiraz, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, whose depth and structure benefit from the minerality and freshness of the unique climate. It is not without reason that the name is derived from the well-known gemstone, which is said to have healing properties.In the glass, the Amethyst shimmers a deep violet and reveals aromas of ripe plums, blackcurrants and juicy cherries, accompanied by subtle notes of cloves and eucalyptus. Cape of Good Hope Basson Pinotage 2017

Die Familie Basson gibt dem Wein ihren Namen. Auf dessen Farm werden die Reben gepflegt und bearbeitet. Nach dem Vergären in offenen Edelstahltanks wird der Wein für 14 Monate in Fässern aus französischer Eiche der 2. und 3. Füllung und dann für weitere 24 Monate in der Flasche gereift. Der Cape of Good Hope Basson Pinotage duftet nach einer Gewürzmischung und dunkler Pflaume mit einem Hauch von Leder. Den Gaumen umgeben interessante Aromen von Gewürznelken und pikanten Rauchnoten. Dieser Rotwein ist herrlich weich und mit sanften Tanninen ausgestattet. Das Finale zeigt sich fest strukturiert und langanhaltend.Der Cape of Good Hope Basson Pinotage ist geradezu gemacht für ein pikantes Essen vom Grill oder einen Wildschweinbraten.

Dieser reinsortige Pinotage aus Südafrika ist in vielerlei Hinsicht herausragend: Das Bukett des Chamonix Pinotage Greywacke prägen intensive Noten von Kirschen, Wildbeeren und eine feine Würze.„Schöne Saftigkeit, geschliffen. 18 Monate im Eichenfass in der Würze erkennbar, geschmeidige Tannine“, urteilt Christine Rudman in John Platter’s Wine Guide und adelt diesen Rotwein aus Südafrika mit 93 Punkten. Der Name Greywacke (Grauwacke) stammt übrigens von der Art des Bodens, der im Chamonix-Weinberg vorkommt.Für 18 Monate reifte der Chamonix Pinotage Greywacke in französischen Eichenfässern, wobei zu 30 Prozent neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen. Die Rebstöcke, von denen die Trauben stammen, sind älter als 20 Jahre. Noch eine Besonderheit: Beim Kreieren dieses Rotweins nutzte Chamonix die Ripasso-Methode, um die Fruchtkonzentration zu steigern. Es ist eindrucksvoll gelungen!

Delheim Vera Cruz Pinotage 2022

Der Delheim Vera Cruz Pinotage hat ein tiefes Pupurrot. In der Nase zeigen sich bei dem Rotwein Noten von reifen dunklen Früchten, integrierte Vanille- und Toffeenoten und ein Hauch von Gewürzen. Am Gaumen ist der Wein aus Südafrika saftig, voll und rund mit einem langen Abgang.Dieser Pinotage stammt von einer Einzellage mit unbewässerten bush-vines, also Reben ohne Drahtrahmenerziehung. Natürlicher Weingenuss par excellence. Die Trauben für den reinsortigen Pinotage aus Stellenbosch in Südafrika wurden akribisch gelesen; es wurden nur die besten Trauben bester Qualität geerntet. Die erste Sortierung wurde bereits in den Weinbergen vorgenommen. Der Delheim Vera Cruz Pinotage reifte für 18 Monate in 300L und 500L Fässern aus französischer Eiche, wobei zu 35% neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen.
