The Tasca d'Almerita Regaleali Bianco DOC from Sicily impressively conveys the advantages of this growing region. The three indigenous grape varieties Inzolia, Grecanico and Catarratto, rounded off with a small proportion of Chardonnay, combine to produce a wonderfully animating aroma of fresh apples, white peaches and pink grapefruit. On the palate, the Tasca d'Almerita Regaleali Bianco is soft, rich and intense. This is a classic among Sicilian white wines, here in its 58th edition. This assemblage was matured in steel tanks for three months. Terlaner Classico DOC 2024

The Terlaner is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. It is the historical Cuvée produced since the founding of the winery (1893!). The wine sparkles straw yellow with green hues. On the nose it offers notes of green apple and white peach. They are typical of the classic Terlan. Add to that, even subtle nuances of lemon and mint.On the palate, the white wine is invogorating but very soft. He also impresses with its freshness, minerality and great length.The grapes for the wine were picked and selected by hand. Stations of the winemaking-process: slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel; storage and ripening for 5-7 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks; finally, the assemblage a month before bottling.At about halfway between the cities of Merano and Bolzano is the wine-village of Terlan. The history of the South Tyrolean Cantina Terlano dates back to 1893. Over this long period Cantina Terlan has built an excellent reputation. The Wine Advocate stated in October 2014: "Cantina Terlano is one of the most prolific wineries in Italy and among the oldest in the region. It offers an outstanding line of wines that embrace multiple styles and philosophies. Terres Secrètes Les Préludes Pouilly-Fuissé is an elegant introduction to the great tradition of white Burgundy wines. Made from 100% Chardonnay, it grows exclusively on the slopes of the southern Mâconnais, where the terroir with its chalky soils and marl layers offers ideal conditions for complex, multi-layered wines. The highly fragmented plots allow for different exposures, which gives the wine remarkable depth and versatility.Vinification is carried out with the utmost care: after gentle pneumatic pressing, fermentation is temperature-controlled and each cuvée is monitored analytically. A portion of the wine matures for 12 months in oak barrels before being combined with the remaining portion and then matured for a further 6 months in stainless steel tanks. The white wine thus harmoniously combines the structure of the wooden barrels with the freshness and clarity of the stainless steel tanks.In the glass, it is a dry, multi-layered Chardonnay with fine aromas of white flowers and citrus fruits. As it matures, elegant notes of hazelnut, almond, vanilla and flint develop. The nose is delicate and precise, on the palate the wine is full-bodied, creamy and at the same time carried by lively minerality - a Burgundy of great class.Terres Secrètes Les Préludes Pouilly-Fuissé is versatile - as an elegant aperitif as well as an accompaniment to refined dishes.
