The Fishwives Club Chardonnay is a Chardonnay full of charm and esprit. Light ageing in American maple and French oak gives it structure without masking its natural freshness and fruitiness.

On the nose, it seduces with aromas of juicy pineapple, honeydew melon and a hint of butterscotch, while lively freshness, fine fruit and crisp acidity dominate the palate. Every sip is a small pleasure - fresh, elegant and with a twinkle in the eye. The finish is delicate and fruity, keeping the wine lively and accessible at all times.

Die Trauben des Spier Signature Chardonnay aus der Region Western Cape in Südafrika werden früh morgens von Februar bis März per Hand geerntet. Nach der Handlese werden sie gepresst und in Edelstahltanks mit ausgewählten Hefestämmen fermentiert, wobei später nur die besten Tanks verwertet werden. Zudem wurde nur ein kleiner Teil in neuen französischen Eichenfässern ausgebaut, was für eine schöne Struktur und Komplexität des Weines sorgt.Der trockene Weißwein zeigt sich im Glas leicht strohgelb mit grünlichen Reflexen. Im Bouquet finden sich Noten von Grapefruit, Limette, gelbem Apfel, Banane, Birne und einen Hauch von Vanille wieder.
