Der Alvi´s Drift Albertus Viljoen Red Bismarck ist ein südafrikanischer Rotwein aus der Region Western Cape. Es handelt sich um einen sogenannten Blend aus insgesamt 8 Rebsorten. Ein wunderbar robuster Wein mit einer undurchsichtig roten Farbe und einer komplexen Nase mit Gewürzen, Vanille, weißem Pfeffer und großzügigen Portionen reifer Brombeeren und Pflaumen. Der Wein hat feste Tannine, wird aber mit der Fülle reifer Früchte zu einem nahezu nahtlosen, wunderbar eleganten Topwein. Der Albertus Viljoen Red Bismarck Wein hat einen langanhaltenden, unvergesslichen Abgang. From the flagship range of Anthonij Rupert from Franschhoek in South Africa, we present the Optima. A cuvée made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. The Protea Cabernet Sauvignon from the Anthonij Rupert Wines estate is a shining example of the quality of South African viticulture and offers fair value for money. The grapes for this wine come from the Groenekloof region located in the wine-growing region of Darling, where the days are warm and the nights are cool, so that there is a significant temperature difference.This, in combination with the dark red soils consisting of decomposed granite, gives the wine its unique mix of dark and red fruit aromas. Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore 2019

The Maremma is a characterful landscape in central Italy, which is also known for its excellent wines. Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore from Tenuta Argentiera has a bright ruby red color with violet hues. On the palate, notes of licorice and black currants. This generous, complex wine - consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc - is rich in tannins. It has a wonderful balance with a pleasant acidity. The finish is long lasting - with a remarkable freshness and minerality.The harvested grapes come from the best vineyards of the estate. The grapes were vinified separately; fermentation and maceration took about 25 to 30 days in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then transferred to 225-liter French oak barriques, where its malolactic fermentation was completetd. The further maturation was about 14 months in oak barrels and then at least another 12 months on the bottle.Tenuta Argentiera is located on the picturesque coast of the Northern Maremma, about 100 km southwest of Florence.

„Schon zugänglich, aber das Beste kommt erst noch.” So etwas liest man gern, auch beim Babylonstoren Cabernet Sauvignon. Denn der südafrikanische Rotwein ist ein kleines Fest für die Sinne, das schon jetzt jede edle Tafel bereichert. Aber, wie Christine Rudman in John Platter’s Wine Guide schreibt, das Beste liegt noch vor uns. 4 von 5 Sternen verleiht Rudman dem im Eichenholz ausgebauten Cabernet.Das Bouquet des pflaumenroten Weins ist einnehmend komplex. Noten von dunklen Beeren (Johannisbeeren) im wunderbaren Zusammenspiel mit Noten von Wildkräutern, Graphit und Zedernholz. Rudman schreibt dem Duftstrauß Noten von „Mokka-Schokolade & Cassis-Düfte“ zu.Am Gaumen ist der Babylonstoren Cabernet Sauvignon trocken, kraftvoll und meisterhaft ausbalanciert. „2020 ist opulent, seine Saftigkeit am Gaumen passt zu den kompakten Tanninen aus 18 Monaten Eichenholz, 40 % neu“, heißt es im Platter. Das Finale klingt noch eindrucksvoll lange nach. 18 Monate reifte der Rotwein von Babylonstoren - gelegen zwischen Paarl und Stellenbosch, etwa 50 Kilometer östlich von Kapstadt - in 300 Liter-Fässern aus französischer Eiche. 40% neue Fässer sowie 60% Fässer zweiter und dritter Füllung kamen zum Einsatz.
