The Marzadro Grappa Trentina Morbida is a wonderfully soft blend consisting of the Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer grape varieties. The grappa was produced in discontinuous coppers using the meticulous Bagnomaria distillation method. After distillation, it matured for several months in barrels in which the Stravecchia Le Diciotto Lune grappa was previously aged. The distillate is rounded off by the breathing of the wood and the contact with oxygen, resulting in an aromatic and velvety grappa that has an intense and long-lasting taste.

Terlaner Classico DOC 2025

The Terlaner is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. It is the historical Cuvée produced since the founding of the winery (1893!). The wine sparkles straw yellow with green hues. On the nose it offers notes of green apple and white peach. They are typical of the classic Terlan. Add to that, even subtle nuances of lemon and mint.On the palate, the white wine is invogorating but very soft. He also impresses with its freshness, minerality and great length.The grapes for the wine were picked and selected by hand. Stations of the winemaking-process: slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel; storage and ripening for 5-7 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks; finally, the assemblage a month before bottling.At about halfway between the cities of Merano and Bolzano is the wine-village of Terlan. The history of the South Tyrolean Cantina Terlano dates back to 1893. Over this long period Cantina Terlan has built an excellent reputation. The Wine Advocate stated in October 2014: "Cantina Terlano is one of the most prolific wineries in Italy and among the oldest in the region. It offers an outstanding line of wines that embrace multiple styles and philosophies. Tiefenbrunner Merus Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC 2024

This Chardonnay from South Tyrol combines notes of meadow flowers and exotic fruits in its bouquet. James Suckling awarded the Tiefenbrunner Merus Chardonnay 90 points and discovered the aroma of crisp pears and apples. On the palate, the dry white wine is slightly spicy and full-bodied, with a good structure. The Chardonnay also impresses with its length, Suckling writes of a "long, harmonious finish".In the glass, the single-varietal Chardonnay is light yellow with greenish reflections. The grapes come from hillside vineyards in Kurtatsch and vineyards at the bottom of the valley in Margreid. "Merus" stands for "pure, unmixed" in Latin. At the top Tiefenbrunner winery, which has been winning over international wine critics for decades, the wine line stands for single-varietal creations whose quality unfolds naturally and authentically. The grapes harvested for this Chardonnay are gently processed and fermented, after which the wine matures for four months in stainless steel tanks.Tiefenbrunner Merus Chardonnay is a perfect accompaniment to fish and seafood, white meat, risotto, young cheeses and asparagus. The ideal serving temperature is 10 to 12 degrees.

Tiefenbrunner Turmhof Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC 2023

Bei der Turmhof-Linie des Spitzenweingutes Tiefenbrunner aus Südtirol handelt es sich um Weißweine, die im Holzfass ausgebaut wurden. Dazu zählt der Tiefenbrunner Turmhof Chardonnay, eine weitere eindrucksvolle Kreation der Winzer-Familie, die in 9. Generation im Besitz ihrer Anbaugebiete ist. Im Bukett dieses Chardonnay vereinen sich exotische Noten von Ananas und Banane. Auch Nuancen von Äpfeln und Vanille sind dabei. Am Gaumen ist dieser Weißwein von Lagen südlich von Margreid und Hanglagen in Kurtatsch kraftvoll, mit einer klaren Struktur und einer merklichen, angenehmen Salzigkeit. Dass beim Ausbau dieses Chardonnay Eichenholz genutzt wurde, ist sehr präsent und verleiht dem Weißwein besondere Eleganz.Der reinsortige Chardonnay wurde für zehn Monate „zu 50% unter regelmäßiger Batonnage im großen Holzfass und zu je 25% auf der feinen Hefe im Betonbehälter bzw. mit biologischem Säureabbau auf der ersten Hefe in Tonneau-Fässern“ ausgebaut, wie das Weingut schreibt. Die Assemblage reifte für zwei weitere Monate im Betonbehälter bevor eine fünfmonatige Flaschenreife erfolgte.

Tiefenbrunner Vigna AU Chardonnay Riserva Alto Adige DOC 2021

Das komplexe Bukett des herausragenden Tiefenbrunner Vigna AU Chardonnay Riserva prägen Noten von gelben, exotischen Früchten und Blüten. Der Weißwein zeige sich zunächst recht verschlossen, „öffnet sich mit rauchig-mineralischen Noten, nach Grapefruit und grüner Mango“, urteilt der Falstaff, der stolze 93 Punkte für diese Tiefenbrunner-Kreation vergibt.Am Gaumen ist der in einem klaren, dunklen Strohgelb schimmernde Weißwein intensiv und saftig, mit vollem Körper und einer tollen Harmonie. Dazu kommen eine angenehme Säure und feine Gerbstoffe. „Am Gaumen stahlig, gut eingebaute Säure die Spannung gibt, aber auch recht grüne Noten, im Finale nach Pfefferminze, braucht unbedingt ein großes Glas, damit er sich öffnen kann“, findet der Falstaff.Die Trauben für den Weißwein stammen von Rebstöcken, deren Anpflanzung bis ins Jahr 1967 zurückreicht. Der Most des reinsortigen Chardonnay wurde „in kleinen Eichenfässern zur spontanen Gärung gebracht. Auf der Hefe macht der Jungwein den biologischen Säureabbau. Nach einem Jahr wird die Weinmenge zusammengeführt und im Stahltank ein halbes Jahr natürlich geklärt“, schreibt Tiefenbrunner. In der geeigneten Mondphase werde der Chardonnay abgefüllt und reife ein weiteres Jahr in der Flasche nach. Dieser Chardonnay hat ein Reifepotenzial von 20 Jahren und mehr.Probieren Sie den Tiefenbrunner Vigna AU Chardonnay Riserva bei einer Temperatur von 10 bis 12 Grad.
