Cantina Tramin Chardonnay 2024

The grapes come from vineyards planted in calcareous clay and gravel soils between 240 and 500 meters in the areas Ora, Tramin and Egna.The grapes were gently pressed immediately following harvest. Primary fermentation occurred in steel tanks, followed by partial malolactic fermentation.Tasting NotesChardonnay is popular and much-loved variety. Our Chardonnay is greenish yellow in color, with delicate fruity aromas and a dry finish. It tastes fresh and lively with hints of pineapple, pear, citrus, vanilla and butter.Food PairingThis is a wine to enjoy as an aperitif, or to pair with appetizers, fish and poultry.

Cantina Tramin Glarea Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC 2024

The Glarea, a 100% Chardonnay, was vinified by Cantina Tramin for the first time in the 2020 vintage. The name Glarea comes from the Rhaeto-Romanic language and means gravel. A clear reference to the soil on which the vines grow. The gravel soil gives the wine a very strong minerality. Due to the slope of the vineyards and strong downdraughts, the grapes cool down considerably at night and in the early hours of the morning. During the day it is usually very hot, so that the temperature is balanced out accordingly. The Glarea benefits from this with a special freshness and balance. The wine is fermented and matured in wooden barrels of different sizes, which not only gives the wine longevity but also a good structure.The Glarea has a typical straw-yellow color with greenish reflections in the glass. The white wine has an intense aroma of banana, pineapple and dried apricots. The wine is juicy and fresh on the palate. It is particularly characterized by its extraordinary minerality. The finish is full of fresh power and harmony.The Glarea from Cantina Tramin goes very well with starters of all kinds. Try it with fish dishes or white meat. The Cantina Tramin Stoan Bianco brings the sun of South Tyrol into your glass. This lively white wine with its pleasant acidity pampers you with a fragrant bouquet of selected summer aromas.With the Cantina Tramin Stoan Bianco from the Cantina Tramin winery, the name says it all. The word "Stoan" is South Tyrolean dialect for stone. This is a reference to the typical limestone soils of the region on which the grape varieties of this cuvée grow. This fine white wine is made from a combination of Chardonnay and Sauvignon grape varieties, which give it its typical fruity, fresh acidity and spicy elegance. A proportion of Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer give this composition a pleasant hint of aromatic, tart wood notes and a creamy finish.The Cantina Tramin Stoan Bianco requires a drinking temperature of 10-14 °C in order to develop its full bouquet. Cantina Tramin Troy Chardonnay Riserva 2021

Eine wirkliche Rarität von Cantina Tramin ist der Troy Chardonnay Riserva. Nur 3100 Flaschen wurden vinifiziert. Die Trauben stammen aus zwei Weinbergen in Söll bei der Ortschaft Tramin. Die Weinberge befinden sich auf einer Höhe von über 500 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel an exponierter Stelle nach Südosten hin ausgerichteten Hanglagen. Das Besondere an dieser Lage sind die extremen Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Tag und Nacht. Die Chardonnay Reben finden hier ideale Bedingungen, um bei wenig Ertrag eine hervorragende Qualität auszubilden. Der Boden ist geprägt von Lehm und Schotter, der stark mit Kalk versetzt ist. Die Trauben wurden von Hand gelesen und jede einzelne Beere sorgsam geprüft. Nach der Gärung und dem biologischen Säureabbau in Barrique wurde der Wein für 11 Monate auf den Feinhefen belassen. Im Anschluss fand eine fast zweijährige weitere Reifung in kleinen Edelstahltanks und eine viermonatige Flaschenlagerung statt.Der Troy Chardonnay Riserva von Tramin aus Italien besticht durch seine Tiefe und seine Vielfalt an Aromen. Seine besondere Saftigkeit und Eleganz machen diesen Wein zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Im Glas findet sich eine goldgelbe Farbe. Die Nase wird von blumigen und zitrusartigen Noten verwöhnt, die durch eine Vielzahl weiterer Düfte wie Kamille, Minze, tropischer Früchte und leichten Röstaromen ergänzt werden. Am Gaumen ist der trockene Weißwein mit großartiger Frische und intensiver Mineralik ausgestattet. Der Geschmack zeichnet sich durch eine Vielzahl an fruchtigen Aromen wie Banane, Mango und Galiamelone aus. Im Abgang wiederholt sich die mineralische Note nochmals und wird durch die unglaubliche Saftigkeit und Länge unterstützt.Nun noch eine kleine Erklärung zum Namen Troy. Früher wurde in Südtirol ein Pfad häufig als Troy bezeichnet. Die Kellerei hat sich für diesen Namen entschieden, um damit den zurückgelegten Entwicklungsweg zu diesem Chardonnay zu verdeutlichen.Wir empfehlen diesen herrlichen Chardonnay zu Schalentieren oder Fisch-Carpaccio. Geschmacklich intensive Nudelgerichte mit Trüffeln, Knödel mit Pilzen und starker Ziegenkäse passen ebenfalls gut zu diesem Spitzenwein.
