Nach der Assemblage kommt der Wein für 14 Monate zum Reifen in Barrique-Fässer.Im Glas schimmert dieser Rotwein in einem tiefen Rubinrot, während im Licht violette Reflexe tanzen. Rote und schwarze Früchte bestimmen das intensive und komplexe Bouquet. Dazu mischt sich ein Hauch von Vanille. The Sassicaia Bolgheri DOC 2022 is a masterpiece of Italian winemaking and is one of the most renowned Super Tuscans. Sourced from the best vineyards in Bolgheri, this Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Merlot blend combines elegance, depth and incomparable finesse. The vineyards at an altitude of 100 to 400 m with chalky, clayey soils and the typical pebbles provide a unique minerality that is reflected in the wine.The 2022 vintage brought high temperatures, but Bolgherí's special microclimate ensured a perfect balance between freshness and ripeness. Rainfall in the fall and winter ensured an optimal water supply, while a mild spring and the vineyards' hillside location allowed for excellent grape ripening.After careful manual harvesting, the grapes were gently pressed and underwent controlled alcoholic fermentation. The maceration period lasted 13-18 days in order to extract polyphenols and aromas optimally. After spontaneous malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for 23 months in wooden barrels before being assembled in stainless steel tanks for the final cuvée.In the glass, the Sassicaia Bolgheri DOC 2022 is a deep ruby red with complex aromas of dark berries, cassis and subtle spicy notes, underpinned by delicate mineral and smoky hints.
