Tief Rubinrot in der Farbe und fruchtig im Bouquet präsentiert sich der Renzo Masi „Erta e China“. Für die intensive Farbgebung und das komplexe Aroma sorgen die Rebsorten Sangiovese und Cabernet Sauvignon.

Die Cuvée Renzo Masi „Erta e China“ ist zu gleichen Teilen aus den Rebsorten Sangiovese und Cabernet Sauvignon gekeltert. Die Lese und Gärung der beiden roten Rebsorten erfolgt getrennt. Nach der Assemblage kommt der Wein für 14 Monate zum Reifen in Barrique-Fässer.

Im Glas schimmert dieser Rotwein in einem tiefen Rubinrot, während im Licht violette Reflexe tanzen. Rote und schwarze Früchte bestimmen das intensive und komplexe Bouquet. Dazu mischt sich ein Hauch von Vanille. Ebenso fruchtig zeigt sich dieser elegante Wein am Gaumen.

Am besten genießen Sie den Renzo Masi „Erta e China“ bei 16 bis 18 °C Trinktemperatur. Dabei erweist sich dieser Rote aus der Toskana als schöner Aperitif. Damit stimmen Sie sich und Ihre Gäste auf einen gemütlichen Abend ein. Darüber hinaus passt er als vielseitiger Tischwein zu traditionellen italienischen Gerichten.

Der Weinbetrieb Renzo Masi befindet sich in Rufina, einem Städtchen im Tal der Sieve. Es liegt in der Chianti Region in der Toskana in Italien. Hier wird der Chianti Rufina angebaut, der die kleinste unter den Chianti-Lagen ist und zusammen mit dem Chianti Classico die besten Böden und die besten klimatischen Voraussetzungen für optimale Erträge hat. Es entstehen hier Chianti-Weine, die komplex, intensiv und besonders langlebig sind.

Renzo Masi ist ein Familienbetrieb, der 1932 von der Familie Masi gekauft wurde. Das Gut liegt auf einem Hügel links des Flusses Sieve. Ein Turm aus dem 13. Jahrhundert überragt das Anwesen. Renzo Masi hat den Betrieb gegründet und sein Sohn Paolo ist nach der Absolvierung der Weinbaufachschule in den elterlichen Betrieb eingestiegen. Er leitet heute das Unternehmen.

Die Weinkellerei Masi Renzo verarbeitet Trauben aus dem gesamten Chianti D.O.C.G.-Gebiet von oftmals langjährigen Vertragspartnern, die den hohen Qualitätsanforderungen von Masi entsprechen.

Laut Hugh Johnsen ist es „das vielleicht beständigste Weingut für Brunello und Rosso di Montalcino“. Der Wein besteht aus der Rebsorte Sangiovese, Merlot und Cabernet Sauvignon. Durch diese Mischung überzeugt der Wein aus Italien als echter Allrounder mit angenehm weichem Geschmack.
