A tight, minerally wine with classic Hamilton Russell Vineyards length and complexity. A prominent core of intense pear fruit aromas and flavours is brought beautifully into focus by a tight line of natural acid and a dry minerality. Southern Right is a small Pinotage and Sauvignon Blanc specialist situated in the beautifull Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, behind the old fishing village of Hermanus, just 2km's from the cold South Atlantic Ocean.Low-vigour, clay-rich soils are planted to Pinotage, while the lighter structured, free-draining Table Mountain Sandstone derived soils are planted to Sauvignon Blanc.Named after the rare Southern Right whales which visit the Walker Bay between May and December each year, Souther Right makes a contribution to ther conservation or conservation in the area with each bottle sold.This Sauvignon Blanc is intense fresh, and equipped with the full aroma of ripe grapes. The nose is like an exotic fruit cocktail with an idea of wild herbs. Melting on the palate, round flavors.This south african wine is vegan-friendly.

Im Glas ein heller, lebendiger Platin-Farbton mit grüner Tönung. Komplexes Bouquet von Zitronengras, Limetten, Hafermehl, ausdrucksstarker Mineralität.Am Gaumen ist der südafrikanische Wein von mittlerem Körper, aber mit klarer Säure, Aromen von Kalk, Marzipan, cremige ausgedehnte Eichen-, Apfel- und Birnbaum-Merkmale. Durch eine reine, lineare mineralische Note ergibt sich ein sauberer und langer Abgang.Von Hand gepflückt, als gesamte Partie gepresst und sofort in 300 Liter Fässer aus französischer Eiche gefüllt. Dabei wurden 60% neue Fässer und 40% Fässer, die schon bereits einmal befüllt waren, verwendet. Die Gärung fand in Eiche statt, teils als natürliche und teils als malolaktische Gärung. Die Reifung erfolgte für 12 Monate in Eichenfässern mit gelegentlichem Rühren vor dem Abfüllen in Flaschen.Dieser Weißwein aus der Region Stellenbosch passt perfekt zu gegrilltem Fisch, weißem und rotem Fleisch.
