Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir

The low-vigour, stony, clay-rich soil, cool maritime mesoclimate, naturally tiny yields of under 30 hl/ha and the philosophy of expressing our terroir in the wines give rise to a certain tightness, tannin line and elevated length to balance the richness and generosity of this Pinot Noir.

The Pinot Noir is not overtly fruity, soft and sweet and it generally shows hints of that alluring primal character along with a dark, spicy, complex primary fruit perfume.

Suitable for vegans.

Hamilton Russell Vineyards

Hamilton Russell Chardonnay
The prestigious Hamilton Russell Vineyards estate in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley stands for precise craftsmanship and terroir-driven elegance. This Chardonnay grows on weak, stony, clay and iron-rich soils, which give the wine a distinct minerality, clear structure and remarkable depth. The grapes are carefully selected and fermented in 300-liter French oak barrels, some of which are aged in new barrels and the rest in barrels of different ages. This careful barrel treatment gives the wine fine vanilla and subtle nutty notes without overpowering the freshness and expression of the fruit. In the glass, the wine has a bright color and a firm, elegant body. The nose delights with clear, vibrant aromas of pear and lime, accompanied by subtle spice and fine mineral nuances. An elegant, structured wine unfolds on the palate, enlivened by its fresh, natural acidity. The texture is soft yet intense, and the long, dry finish underlines the fine minerality and lively fruitiness - a wine with a strong expression of origin and character. This Chardonnay unfolds its full potential with grilled or roasted poultry, white meat dishes, fine fish or creamy pasta dishes. Serve at 10-12 °C to enjoy its freshness, fruitiness and minerality to the full.

Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Pinot Noir
The Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Pinot Noir is an exceptional white wine with a hint of rosé that combines the freshness of Chardonnay with the fruity finesse of Pinot Noir. Inspired by the tradition of champagne production, this South African blend from Franschhoek brings a refined elegance to the glass. The grapes come from the sun-drenched vineyards of Franschhoek, one of South Africa's most renowned wine regions. Chardonnay brings freshness and minerality, while Pinot Noir provides structure and subtle red fruit. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed, with the Pinot Noir adding just a hint of color to the wine. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and primary aromas. A short maturation on the fine lees gives the wine additional depth and a pleasantly soft mouthfeel. In the glass, the Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Pinot Noir presents itself with a fine, salmon-colored hue. The nose is seduced by aromas of red berries, citrus fruits and a hint of white peach. On the palate, the wine is lively, elegant and perfectly balanced, with a pleasant acidity and subtle minerality. The finish is long-lasting and refreshing. This versatile white wine is an ideal accompaniment to a variety of dishes. It harmonizes perfectly with seafood, sushi, grilled fish and summer salads. It also impresses with light poultry dishes or as an elegant aperitif with its refreshing lightness.Enjoy this unique Chardonnay Pinot Noir blend well chilled at around 8-10 °C.
