Southern Right Sauvignon Blanc

Southern Right is a small Pinotage and Sauvignon Blanc specialist situated in the beautifull Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, behind the old fishing village of Hermanus, just 2km's from the cold South Atlantic Ocean.

Low-vigour, clay-rich soils are planted to Pinotage, while the lighter structured, free-draining Table Mountain Sandstone derived soils are planted to Sauvignon Blanc.

Named after the rare Southern Right whales which visit the Walker Bay between May and December each year, Souther Right makes a contribution to ther conservation or conservation in the area with each bottle sold.

This Sauvignon Blanc is intense fresh, and equipped with the full aroma of ripe grapes. The nose is like an exotic fruit cocktail with an idea of wild herbs. Melting on the palate, round flavors.

This south african wine is vegan-friendly.

Springfield Life From Stone Sauvignon Blanc
The Life from Stone Sauvignon Blanc from Springfield Estate in Robertson, South Africa, is an impressive example of the region's exceptional minerality. On the estate's extremely stony quartz soils, the vines thrive in challenging conditions, giving the wine its characteristic pebbly, mineral expression. Every step in the vineyard reflects the meticulous handiwork of Springfield Estates: the planting of the older vines required monumental efforts, sometimes even the use of dynamite, to penetrate the hard rock. The vines are planted on a gently south-facing slope with 6060 vines per hectare. The climate is characterized by moderate summers with cool nights and cold winters, while the southeast wind in summer ensures healthy, aromatic grapes. These grapes are harvested at night and immediately protected with dry ice to preserve their freshness and fine aromas. Before bottling, only a 2.5-micron filtration is carried out - a gentle treatment that preserves the natural freshness and complexity of the wine.Intense minerality meets fresh citrus and green apple notes, which are typical of Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, the white wine has a powerful, concentrated body, fine elegance and a long, lively finish.Perfect with grilled vegetables, goat's cheese, light pasta dishes with herb or lemon sauces and fresh salads. Particularly delicious with seafood such as prawns or scallops. Served at 8-10 °C, the Life from Stone Sauvignon Blanc reveals its full aroma.
