Barahonda Barrica Monastrell Syrah DO 2022

The Barrica Monastrell Syrah comes from the Barahonda winery in the Spanish wine-growing region of Yecla. The blend consists of 75% Monastrell and 25% Syrah. The vines of this red wine are 40 to 45 years old and grow on calcareous soils at an altitude of between 500 and 800 meters. The Barahonda Barrica Monastrell Syrah has a ruby red color that shines bright and clear in the glass. The nose reveals an intense bouquet of ripe fruit, spices, light vanilla notes and some cedar wood. A strong minerality dominates the palate. A wine full of juice and power with notes of pepper and cloves. Matured in French and American oak barrels for a period of around 6 months, the finish is strong and round with a taste of vanilla and some leather.Try the Barahonda Barrica Monastrell Syrah with roast poultry, minced steak or paella. Also a very good choice with medium-strong cheese.

The Barahonda Blanco Verdejo Sauvignon Blanc Organic comes from the Yecla growing region in Spain. The biodynamically grown white wine has a yellow color with light green reflections. The nose is strikingly fruity of mango and orange with a hint of citrus fruit. On the palate, the dry Sauvignon Blanc is wonderfully fresh and very elegant. A floral note glides over to a slightly grassy aroma with good acidity on the finish.Thanks to its intense freshness, the Barahonda Blanco Verdejo Sauvignon Blanc can be paired with many different dishes. Barista Black 2023

Barista Black ist ein Rotwein aus Südafrika, der zu 100% aus Pinotage Trauben vinifiziert wurde. Die Rebsorte Pinotage beruht auf einer Neuzüchtung von Abraham Isak Perold im Jahre 1925 an der Universität Stellenbosch. Es handelt sich um eine Kreuzung aus Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) und Cinsault. Der Barista Black zeigt den ganzen Reichtum dieser Traube. Ein Pinotage wie er intensiver nicht sein könnte. Die Trauben stammen von den besten Weinbergen des Westkaps. Der Wein wurde in einer Kombination aus Edelstahl- und Betontanks mit zwei sanften Pumpvorgängen pro Tag vergoren. Anschließend reifte er 16 Monate lang in Eichenfässern, wobei 20 % des Weins in neuen französischen Barriques ausgebaut wurde.Der Barista Black duftet herrlich nach Pflaumen, Kirschen und Maulbeeren mit Anklängen an warme Backgewürze. Am Gaumen hat der Wein einen saftigen Fruchtkern und eine gute Konzentration mit samtigen Tanninen und etwas Eichenkomplexität. Der Abgang ist lang, glatt und angenehm trocken.Dieser vollmundige Wein passt gut zu dunkel geschmorter Lammschulter auf Langkornreis mit Rotkohl-Speck-Kimchi oder gebratener Entenbrust und gemischtem Blattsalat und Kartoffelecken.

Barista Pinotage 2024

A South African taste experience of intense, rich coffee and chocolate aromas with nuances of ripe mulberries, plums and cherries.This dry red wine is also the perfect accompaniment to food. It pairs very well with dark meat, creamy casseroles and even intense desserts. Also a great accompaniment to blue cheese or Belgian chocolate. Vinified ready to drink from the start for immediate enjoyment. We recommend 18 °C as the ideal drinking temperature.The Barista Pinotage from the Val De Vie vineyard is made from 100% Pinotage grapes from the Robertson region. The grapes were picked at optimum ripeness in mid-February and divided into different batches and treated in different ways.Certain batches were treated by short heating to optimize color and then returned to the skins for alcoholic fermentation. Other batches were pasteurized and immediately fermented on oak to achieve the dark, rich coffee flavors. Still other batches were fermented conventionally on the skins and pumped over several times during alcoholic fermentation and racked into French oak to complete fermentation. All batches were stabilized by malolactic fermentation in French oak.

The Barón de Ley Gran Reserva comes from the Rioja region of Spain. This wine from the Barón de Ley winery is characterized by its beautiful aromatic intensity and smooth character. Barón de Ley Reserva Is made from grapes coming from our own vineyards in Mendavia (Rioja Baja). The climate in this part of Rioja, with clear Mediterranean influence, provides excellent maturations which, combined with a low yield viticulture (5.000 kgrs/Ha. aproximately), result in modern Riojas with a “mediterranean soul”; wines with combine remarkable power with the elegance and harmony that have always been characteristic of the Rioja wines. The wine was aged for 20 months in new american oak casks, and afterwards 24 months in bottle until arriving to its ideal moment for enjoyment. This wine has not been submitted to filterings or artificial stabilizations, which might result in the appearance of natural sediments in the bottle.With an attractive red ruby coulour with medium-high intensity, in the nose it suprises for a powerful fruit remarkably blended with traces from its noble ageing: coconut and toffee, evolving into seductive nuances of spices and mediterranean bush. The attack is truly powerful and develops in the mouth a pleasant sensation of volume and onctuosity with drives us to a long finish, nervous and fresh due to its optimum acidity, and bringing back an aftertaste with red fruits and again mediterranean bushes.
