The Barista Chardonnay has a light yellow color. The bouquet of this white wine from South Africa offers notes of citrus fruit, peach, gooseberries and mandarin. There is also a fine spiciness from the oak-aged Chardonnay.

This white wine from the Elgin region, around 60 kilometers east of Cape Town, is wonderfully refreshing and invigorating thanks to its fine acidity. Look forward to a fine barista wine that appeals to a young audience as well as experienced connoisseurs.

Barista Black

Barista Black ist ein Rotwein aus Südafrika, der zu 100% aus Pinotage Trauben vinifiziert wurde. Die Rebsorte Pinotage beruht auf einer Neuzüchtung von Abraham Isak Perold im Jahre 1925 an der Universität Stellenbosch. Es handelt sich um eine Kreuzung aus Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) und Cinsault. Der Barista Black zeigt den ganzen Reichtum dieser Traube. Ein Pinotage wie er intensiver nicht sein könnte. Die Trauben stammen von den besten Weinbergen des Westkaps. Der Wein wurde in einer Kombination aus Edelstahl- und Betontanks mit zwei sanften Pumpvorgängen pro Tag vergoren. Anschließend reifte er 16 Monate lang in Eichenfässern, wobei 20 % des Weins in neuen französischen Barriques ausgebaut wurde.Der Barista Black duftet herrlich nach Pflaumen, Kirschen und Maulbeeren mit Anklängen an warme Backgewürze. Am Gaumen hat der Wein einen saftigen Fruchtkern und eine gute Konzentration mit samtigen Tanninen und etwas Eichenkomplexität. Der Abgang ist lang, glatt und angenehm trocken.Dieser vollmundige Wein passt gut zu dunkel geschmorter Lammschulter auf Langkornreis mit Rotkohl-Speck-Kimchi oder gebratener Entenbrust und gemischtem Blattsalat und Kartoffelecken.

Barista Pinotage

A South African taste experience of intense, rich coffee and chocolate aromas with nuances of ripe mulberries, plums and cherries.This dry red wine is also the perfect accompaniment to food. It pairs very well with dark meat, creamy casseroles and even intense desserts. Also a great accompaniment to blue cheese or Belgian chocolate. Vinified ready to drink from the start for immediate enjoyment. We recommend 18 °C as the ideal drinking temperature.The Barista Pinotage from the Val De Vie vineyard is made from 100% Pinotage grapes from the Robertson region. The grapes were picked at optimum ripeness in mid-February and divided into different batches and treated in different ways.Certain batches were treated by short heating to optimize color and then returned to the skins for alcoholic fermentation. Other batches were pasteurized and immediately fermented on oak to achieve the dark, rich coffee flavors. Still other batches were fermented conventionally on the skins and pumped over several times during alcoholic fermentation and racked into French oak to complete fermentation. All batches were stabilized by malolactic fermentation in French oak.

Spier Signature Chardonnay

Die Trauben des Spier Signature Chardonnay aus der Region Western Cape in Südafrika werden früh morgens von Februar bis März per Hand geerntet. Nach der Handlese werden sie gepresst und in Edelstahltanks mit ausgewählten Hefestämmen fermentiert, wobei später nur die besten Tanks verwertet werden. Zudem wurde nur ein kleiner Teil in neuen französischen Eichenfässern ausgebaut, was für eine schöne Struktur und Komplexität des Weines sorgt.Der trockene Weißwein zeigt sich im Glas leicht strohgelb mit grünlichen Reflexen. Im Bouquet finden sich Noten von Grapefruit, Limette, gelbem Apfel, Banane, Birne und einen Hauch von Vanille wieder. Am Gaumen überzeugt der Spier Signature Chardonnay mit fruchtigen Noten, einem cremigen Mundgefühl und einem schönen Säurespiel mit großer Ausgewogenheit.Der reinsortige Chardonnay stammt von dem Weingut Spier und lässt sich am besten mit gebratenem Lachs in Zitronen-Butter-Soße oder Ente kombinieren und bei einer empfohlenen Trinktemperatur von 10 °C. genießen.
