The Wente Riva Ranch Chardonnay from California matures for 10 months in American and French oak barrels. This wonderfully complements the intense fruit aromas of this white wine. The bouquet combines notes of tropical fruits such as pineapple, white nectarine and sweet baking spices. On the palate, this wine from "California's First Family of Chardonnay" is full, luscious and somewhat creamy, with a beautiful texture, balance and a long finish.

The Wente family has been dedicated to viticulture for 5 generations, and this blend of Chardonnay and a very small amount of Gewürztraminer shows why the winery is one of the big names in Californian viticulture.

The Neil Ellis Whitehall Chardonnay is a wine that reflects both the terroir and the philosophy of Neil Ellis. The grapes for this Chardonnay come from the Elgin region. A region that is known for its coolness on the Cape and has the most favorable conditions in terms of climate and soil. On the other hand, the Whitehall Chardonnay is characterized by great purity, which is made possible by the meticulous work in the vineyard. The grapes were fermented 100% in barrique barrels. New barrels were used for 25% of this and the rest was processed in second and third-fill barrels. Maturation took place for 9 months in French oak barrels.The color of the Neil Ellis Whitehall Chardonnay is straw-like with light greenish reflections. The nose reveals typical Chardonnay aromas of nectarines, lemon and various floral notes. The palate is characterized by a wonderful harmony and structure.
