This white wine was aged for more than 11 months in new French barriques. The grapes for this wine come from the Glen Carlou estate’s oldest Chardonnay vines, which were planted about 30 years ago. The Glen Carlou Quartz Stone Chardonnay has an intense bouquet offering notes of orange marmalade, lime, ripe stone fruit and candied pineapple. The white wine from the Coastal Region is full-bodied and fresh on the palate, showing very intense aromas.

This wonderful creation was awarded 4 out of 5 possible stars in John Platter’s Wine Guide. The wine is characterised by its ageing in oak casks, of which 90% were new barrels, without leaving overly dominant notes of oak. You’ll enjoy discovering a Chardonnay that has a lot to offer. The Glen Carlou Quartz Stone Chardonnay goes beautifully with fine fish dishes, seafood, winged game or cheese fondue.

The long finish is characterised by noticeable aromas of black currants.This Shiraz consists of a small percentage of Mourverde. Dabei wurden 60% neue Fässer und 40% Fässer, die schon bereits einmal befüllt waren, verwendet. Die Gärung fand in Eiche statt, teils als natürliche und teils als malolaktische Gärung. Die Reifung erfolgte für 12 Monate in Eichenfässern mit gelegentlichem Rühren vor dem Abfüllen in Flaschen.Dieser Weißwein aus der Region Stellenbosch passt perfekt zu gegrilltem Fisch, weißem und rotem Fleisch.
