Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Pinot Noir

The Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Pinot Noir is an exceptional white wine with a hint of rosé that combines the freshness of Chardonnay with the fruity finesse of Pinot Noir. Inspired by the tradition of champagne production, this South African blend from Franschhoek brings a refined elegance to the glass.

The grapes come from the sun-drenched vineyards of Franschhoek, one of South Africa's most renowned wine regions. Chardonnay brings freshness and minerality, while Pinot Noir provides structure and subtle red fruit. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed, with the Pinot Noir adding just a hint of color to the wine. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and primary aromas. A short maturation on the fine lees gives the wine additional depth and a pleasantly soft mouthfeel.

In the glass, the Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Pinot Noir presents itself with a fine, salmon-colored hue. The nose is seduced by aromas of red berries, citrus fruits and a hint of white peach. On the palate, the wine is lively, elegant and perfectly balanced, with a pleasant acidity and subtle minerality. The finish is long-lasting and refreshing.

This versatile white wine is an ideal accompaniment to a variety of dishes. It harmonizes perfectly with seafood, sushi, grilled fish and summer salads. It also impresses with light poultry dishes or as an elegant aperitif with its refreshing lightness.

Enjoy this unique Chardonnay Pinot Noir blend well chilled at around 8-10 °C.

Product recommendation

Aaldering Chardonnay Stellenbosch
The Aaldering Chardonnay has an intense bouquet offering notes of peach, lime and mandarin. On the palate, the white wine from the Devon Valley shows a lovely fullness, a creamy juiciness and a prolonged finish as well. This pure varietal Chardonnay consists of three components: the juice delivered by the freshly harvested grapes before they are pressed (‘free run juice’), the part of the wine which was fermented in second-, third- and fourth-fill barrels as well as the must which was aged in stainless steel tanks, making this blend a special taste experience. The Aaldering Chardonnay has a good ageing potential of 5 to 7 years. Enjoy this white wine from the Aaldering estate, which has been successfully producing wines in the Stellenbosch region since 2004, with salmon, lobster, crispy duck or veal. It is also an ideal accompaniment to Middle Eastern cuisine.

Glen Carlou Chardonnay
This Chardonnay from South Africa has a wonderfully fruity bouquet offering aromas of apples, gooseberries and ripe pears, along with notes of lemon cream and pineapple and nuances of vanilla and butterscotch as well. The Glen Carlou Chardonnay is medium-bodied, fresh and stimulating on the palate, with a balanced acidity, a lovely length and an impressive finesse. The Chardonnay matured for 10 months in special Chardonnay casks, of which 30% each were new, second- and third-fill barrels. Haute Cabrière Arnim Family Reserve
An unusual composition: in the Haute Cabrière Arnim Family Reserve, the Haute Cabrière wine estate combines the Syrah (Shiraz) and Pinot Noir grape varieties. The result is a red wine from South Africa that has a lot to offer. Intense notes of red fruits (ripe cherries, cassis) on the nose, plus blueberries and a fine spice and barrique note (cedar wood). On the palate, this blend from the Franschhoek Valley is wonderfully balanced, with soft tannins and a stimulating freshness and length. The Haute Cabrière Arnim Family Reserve matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, 10 percent of which were new barrels. In 1982, Achim von Arnim took over the traditional wine estate in the French-influenced Franschhoek Valley, which was founded in 1694. Haute Cabrière Tranquille Classic
The Haute Cabrière Tranquille Classic is an exceptional wine from Franschhoek, South Africa, which looks like a rosé at first glance, but deliberately sets itself apart from the classic category. The cuvée of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, inspired by a French champagne without a second fermentation, presents itself in a delicate salmon hue and elegantly combines fruit and freshness. The glass reveals a subtle aroma of red berries, citrus fruits and a hint of exotic fruit, underpinned by fine minerality. On the palate, the wine is light, dry and wonderfully balanced, with a fresh, clear finish.Although it is reminiscent of a rosé in terms of color and style, Tranquille is not a classic rosé wine, but rather a still vinified Blanc de Noirs with a Chardonnay component, which combines the finesse of white grape varieties with the structure of Pinot Noir. This makes it an exciting, versatile companion - whether as an aperitif, with light summer dishes or simply on its own on a relaxed evening.

Springfield Life From Stone Sauvignon Blanc
The Life from Stone Sauvignon Blanc from Springfield Estate in Robertson, South Africa, is an impressive example of the region's exceptional minerality. On the estate's extremely stony quartz soils, the vines thrive in challenging conditions, giving the wine its characteristic pebbly, mineral expression. Every step in the vineyard reflects the meticulous handiwork of Springfield Estates: the planting of the older vines required monumental efforts, sometimes even the use of dynamite, to penetrate the hard rock. The vines are planted on a gently south-facing slope with 6060 vines per hectare. The climate is characterized by moderate summers with cool nights and cold winters, while the southeast wind in summer ensures healthy, aromatic grapes. These grapes are harvested at night and immediately protected with dry ice to preserve their freshness and fine aromas. Before bottling, only a 2.5-micron filtration is carried out - a gentle treatment that preserves the natural freshness and complexity of the wine.Intense minerality meets fresh citrus and green apple notes, which are typical of Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, the white wine has a powerful, concentrated body, fine elegance and a long, lively finish.Perfect with grilled vegetables, goat's cheese, light pasta dishes with herb or lemon sauces and fresh salads. Particularly delicious with seafood such as prawns or scallops. Served at 8-10 °C, the Life from Stone Sauvignon Blanc reveals its full aroma.
