The Bellevue Cinsault comes from one of South Africa's most traditional wine estates. Rooted in Stellenbosch, the Bellevue family winery is one of the pioneers of this versatile grape variety, which was once known as Hermitage. Today, Bellevue is reinterpreting Cinsault as a fresh, fruity red wine with moderate alcohol and a fine structure, ideal for the warmer months of the year.

Bellevue Cinsault has a bright ruby red color in the glass and a lively, fragrant nose. Aromas of raspberry, strawberry, sour cherry and a hint of beet characterize the bouquet. On the palate, the red wine is medium-bodied, silky and fresh, with a subtle spiciness and supple tannins that blend harmoniously into the overall picture.

The grapes come from old bush vines planted between 1994 and 1996. After gentle pressing, the must was fermented immediately. Fermentation lasted around four days, accompanied by daily pumping over for gentle extraction. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and then matured on the fine lees. Ageing took place in French and American oak, which gives the wine structure and depth without masking the fruit.

This Cinsault is an ideal accompaniment to beef carpaccio, grilled tuna, antipasti or summer vegetable dishes. Thanks to its freshness and fine structure, it can also be served slightly chilled - perfect for the terrace or a picnic.

Best served at 14-16°C - slightly chilled, it reveals its fresh, summery elegance to optimum effect.

The Bellevue Atticus is a typical Cape blend of Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, vinified by the traditional Bellevue wine estate in Stellenbosch. Named after one of the estate's legendary Arabian stallions, this wine stands for power, elegance and long ageing potential.In the glass, the Bellevue Atticus is deep dark with intense aromas of dark plums, ripe berries and a fine vanilla note from the wood. On the palate, it is concentrated, juicy and structured, with well-integrated tannins and a long finish. It is powerful and robust when young, developing elegance and depth over time.The grapes come from selected plots with high-quality vine material. Pinotage is cultivated as a bush vine, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot on a wire frame. After being harvested by hand, the grapes were cold macerated and fermented for around four days. The red wine then matured for eleven months in French and American oak, around a third of which was in new barrels.A versatile accompaniment to lamb dishes, braised meat or a classic Sunday roast. Aged cheese or hearty mushroom dishes also go perfectly with it. Recommended drinking temperature: 16-18°C

Once fermentation is complete, the wine is matured in American oak barrels made by French coopers - the result is a balanced style with a gentle woody character and plenty of fruit.This Pinotage goes particularly well with roast beef, braised dishes such as oxtail or - for a change of pace - grilled fish such as galjoen, a South African classic. With the Bellevue Reserve Pinotage, the renowned Bellevue winery from Stellenbosch presents its most intense and concentrated interpretation of South Africa's national grape variety. The wine comes from selected parcels of older Pinotage vineyards and embodies all the depth, power and elegance that Pinotage has to offer.This Pinotage is dense, powerful and at the same time polished - a real powerhouse with elegance. The nose is dominated by aromas of violets, cedar wood and dark berries. Sweet and tart raspberries, maraschino cherries and a fine umami note unfold on the palate, underpinned by fine-grained tannins and a clear, long-lasting structure.Only the best grapes are used for this reserve wine, mainly from a bush vineyard planted in 1996 on weathered granite and slate soil. After a four-day cold maceration, fermentation was temperature-controlled, with daily pump-overs for optimum extraction. The wine underwent spontaneous malolactic fermentation in barriques and matured for 22 months in French oak barrels - half new, half second-use.This expressive red wine calls for matured beef, a hearty game dish or - for the brave - one of the finest matured cheeses with character.
