Cloudy Bay Chardonnay

Fresh, intensely fragrant and simply delicious: the Cloudy Bay Chardonnay from New Zealand's Marlborough wine-growing region, which is highly regarded around the world, is a white wine that leaves an impression. Notes of white peach, apricot and warm hay as well as floral tones characterize the bouquet. Dense on the palate, with a wonderful variety of aromas of apple and pear, finely balanced by notes of vanilla and hazelnut. There are also subliminal salty notes. A little acidity (citrus) gives the dry white wine freshness and opens up the long finish.

The Cloudy Bay Chardonnay was matured for 11 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which were new barrels.

Enjoy this creation from the renowned Cloudy Bay winery with a fine arrangement of goat's cheese with baguette, apple marmalade and hazelnuts, for example, or with a Müllerin-style plaice. Important: The wine should not be cooler than 12 degrees so that the intensity of the aromas of this New Zealand Chardonnay can fully unfold.

Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Chardonnay
With its pale golden color and intense and complex aromas of white peach and honeysuckle, the Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Chardonnay impresses. There are also hints of savory bacon and rounding oak notes.Taste: A wonderfully full-bodied and rich white wine with complex stone fruit aromas and a hint of spice. Underlying savory oak notes and subtle yeasty characters add to the complexity. On the palate, it is elegant and full with firm acidity and a long finish.Aging potential:Perfect for immediate enjoyment. This Chardonnay can age wonderfully with careful storage in the bottle and is still perfectly drinkable four years after bottling.Winemaking: The grapes were carefully hand-picked and pressed whole to ensure that all the defining terroir characteristics and fruit flavors were retained. The wine was fermented in 100 percent American oak (50 percent in new oak barrels, 25 percent in second-fill barrels and 25 percent in third-fill barrels). Selected yeast strains were used for fermentation. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation and matured on the lees for ten months with regular pumping over. Only the best barrels from each batch were selected to make the final blend.Perfect with salmon, strong cream sauces or roast chicken.

Das Bukett zeichnen intensive Aromen dunkler Früchte aus, vor allem Brombeeren und Kirschen. Dazu kommen Nuancen von Grafit. Am Gaumen ist dieser Rotwein aus Neuseeland geschmeidig, mit seidigen Tanninen und einer feinen Balance mit einer saftigen Säure. Dazu kommen Noten der Loganbeere (amerikanische Kreuzung aus einer Brombeerenart und Himbeere) und von Pflaumen. Dieser Pinot Noir klingt noch außergewöhnlich lange nach.Elf Monate lang reifte der Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir in französischen Eichenfässern. Dabei kamen zu 35% neue Fässer zum Einsatz.Die ideale Trinktemperatur für diesen Rotwein liegt bei 14 bis 16°C.
