Der Il Messo Governo Rosso Toscana aus der Region Toskana in Italien wird nach der alten, aus dem 14. Jahrhundert stammenden, toskanischen Governo All´uso Methode hergestellt. Bei dieser alten Technik werden teilweise getrockenete Trauben, in diesem Fall Merlot und Sangiovese, nach der Gärung dem Most zugegeben. Dadurch wird eine zweite Gärung in Gang gesetzt. Das verleiht dem trockenen Rotwein von dem Weingut Barbanera mehr Kraft, Tiefe und Fruchtigkeit.
