Peter Zemmer Gewürztraminer DOC is a representative of this traditional South Tyrolean grape variety full of character. The white wine impresses with its strong aroma.

All the charm of South Tyrol can be found in a glass of Peter Zemmer Gewürztraminer. This white wine has been cultivated in the region since the 11th century. It has an intense straw to golden yellow color in the glass. Its aroma is characterized by spicy notes, accompanied by sweet, muscatel-like nuances of dried flowers, cloves and rose petals. Gewürztraminer pampers the palate with a full-bodied, spicy, rich, lively and fresh taste and harmoniously balanced acidity. The favorable location of the vineyards, the direct sunlight and the good aeration of the grapes provide the best conditions for this Traminer from the traditional Peter Zemmer winery.

Serve the wine slightly chilled at a drinking temperature of 12 to 14 °C. Its strong aromas make Gewürztraminer an ideal accompaniment to crab, lobster, pâtés and shellfish. This white wine also tastes great as an aperitif.

Seit 1928, dem Gründungsjahr des Familienweingutes, gehört der Weinbau zur Geschichte der Familie Zemmer. Die Begeisterung zum Wein ist auch bei der dritten Generation fest verankert und spiegelt sich heute in erstklassigen Produkten wider. Das Weingut Peter Zemmer liegt im Südtiroler Unterland in der Mitte des Tales des Flusses Etsch. Der Ort Kurtinig an der Südtiroler Weinstraße zählt heute mit seinen rund 600 Einwohnern zu den kleinsten Gemeinden Südtirols. Er ist die Heimat des Weingutes Peter Zemmer und liegt an der südlichen Landesgrenze zum Trentino.

Das Klima ist in den Hochlagen alpin aber gleichzeitig in den Tälern oft mediterran. Die verschiedenen Lagen, die unterschiedlichen Böden und die vielen Mikroklimas ermöglichen bei Peter Zemmer den Anbau eines sehr breiten Spektrums an Rebsorten. Durch die sorgfältige und schonende Nutzung dieser einmaligen Terroirs reifen Trauben heran, die einzigartige Weine hervorbringen. Neben der einheimischen Rebsorte Lagrein setzt Peter Zemmer beim Anbau auch auf die Rebsorten Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay und Pinot Grigio sowie Weißburgunder.

The calcareous and fertile soils in the municipalities of Montan and Tramin support the excellent ripening of these grapes.With its exceptionally strong aroma, the full-bodied Cantina Tramin Gewürztraminer pampers the nose and palate of the connoisseur. This Gewürztraminer is a straw to golden yellow white wine with a strong aroma of fragrant rose petals, cloves and cinnamon. Dieser trockene Gewürztraminer aus Südtirol leuchtet goldgelb im Glas. Das Bouquet bietet Duftnoten, die an Rosen, Lilien, würzige Blüten und getrocknete und reife, exotische Früchte wie Mango und Passionsfrucht erinnern.
