The Pio Cesare Gavi DOCG is an Italian white wine made from 100% Cortese grapes. The Pio Cesare winery, which has been in the family for five generations, has been producing outstanding red and white wines in Piedmont since 1881, taking care to treat the vineyard with the greatest possible care, with minimal intervention in nature. The excessive attention to detail even goes so far that no seasonal workers are used, but for reasons of continuity only experienced workers are employed, even during the harvest.

This dedication is evident in the Pio Cesare Gavi DOCG. It is made from grapes from exclusive hillside vineyards in the Gavi region and is then fermented in steel tanks at low temperatures. The wine is also matured in steel tanks to preserve as much of its fresh character as possible.

The wine has an intense aroma of spring flowers, citrus fruit, apple and minerals. Balanced and elegant on the palate, a hint of fennel, with fresh acidity that balances the fruit well.

An excellent aperitif, but also a wine that goes well with salads, fish, shellfish and crustaceans.

The Pio Cesare Barbera d'Alba DOC is a very classic, pure Barbera from Piedmont, some of whose grapes come from plots where the grapes for the famous Barolo also grow. This gives the Barbera grape, from which 100% of this dry red wine is made, a special strength and depth in addition to the tangy fruit and lively, fresh acidity. The fermentation of the Pio Cesare Barbera d'Alba DOC takes around 10 to 12 days at a temperature of around 25 degrees in order to preserve the fruit in the dry red wine. The Nebbiolo Lange DOC from the Italian winery Pio Cesare in Piedmont is a pure Nebbiolo. The world-famous Barolo and Barbaresco wines are also made from this well-known grape. However, if the latter red representatives of northern Italy are too weighty for you, the Nebbiolo Langhe DOC is just the thing. Although it is similar to its big brothers, it is more of a lighter and dancier version. Die Dolcetto wurde eine Zeit lang unterbewertet, aber ihre Popularität steigt in den letzten Jahren aus gutem Grund. Sie ist wie Barbera und Nebbiolo eine echte Traube aus der Region, die wunderbar fruchtige, saftige und süffige Weine hervorbringen kann. Dolcetto reift etwas leichter und schneller, daher wird sie an etwas kühleren Stellen an den Ost- und Nordosthängen gepflanzt.Der Dolcetto für den Pio Cesare Dolcetto d´Alba DOC stammt aus den Gemeinden Treiso, Monforte d'Alba, Serralunga und Madonna Como, also teils aus dem Barolo-Gebiet und teils aus dem Barbaresco-Gebiet. Die Nebbiolo-Trauben für diesen klassischen Barolo stammen von den schönsten Hängen im Piemont. Sie werden auf den familieneigenen Weinbergen in Serralunga d'Alba (Ornato, La Serra und Briccolina), Grinzane Cavour (Gustava und Garretti), La Morra (Roncaglie), Novello (Ravera) und Monforte (Mosconi) angebaut. Seit Generationen wird der Barolo aus Trauben verschiedener Regionen hergestellt. Diese traditionelle Formel wird von den Barolo-Produzenten verwendet, um Weine herzustellen, die alle Merkmale des Barolo-Gebiets in sich vereinen. Die Trauben werden von Hand geerntet und sortiert und nur bei perfekter Reife von Mitte Oktober bis Anfang November geerntet.Der Pio Cesare Barolo DOCG ist von einer wunderschönen, kerzenroten Farbe. Pio Cesare Barbaresco DOCG

Der Barbaresco DOCG ist ein klassischer und ultimativer Nebbiolo aus dem Piemont vom Weingut Pio Cesare.Die Trauben stammen fast ausschließlich aus der Gemeinde Treiso. Die restlichen Trauben stammen von Weinbergen in Barbaresco und San Rocco Seno d'Elvio. Dies führt zu einem Wein mit mehr Komplexität aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Terroirs. Die Gärung findet mit optimalem Kontakt zwischen den Schalen und dem gärenden Wein statt, um dem Wein Farbe und Charakter zu verleihen. Die Trauben gären bei etwa 25 Grad und bleiben zwischen drei und vier Wochen mit dem gärenden Wein in Kontakt. Anschließend reift er in Barriques, dabei zum Teil in neuen Fässern aus französischer Eiche. Ein Teil des Barbaresco DOCG erfuhr eine Reifung im Holz von bis zu drei Jahren, um ihm mehr Komplexität zu verleihen und Eleganz und Samtigkeit des Weins weiter zu betonen.Der Barbaresco DOCG duftet nach Gewürzen, Trüffeln, Marmelade, mit schöner Vanille, sehr breit und komplex. Im Mund viel Finesse und Komplexität, kraftvoll und elegant zugleich, reine, schöne Vanille, feine Säure und schöne Tannine. Ein langer Nachhall schließt den Wein perfekt ab.Solo ein begeisternder Wein, aber auch toll zu kräftigen Gerichten, gedünstetem rotem Fleisch, rotem Wild, Reh, Hase oder kräftigem Käse.

Château Charmail is known for producing wines that very often score significantly higher than their price would suggest. Charmail, classified as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, was taken over by Oliver Seze in the 1980s and underwent a "horse cure" of renewal until the wines once again reached the level of the terroir on which its vines grow. As a neighbor of Sociando-Mallet and Phélan-Ségur, the Gironde is not far away and the wine is now one of the best in the Haut-Médoc. Seze is still active as a consultant, but has handed over the vineyard to Bernard d'Halluin and his daughter Marie.2018 is the first year of the "dream trilogy" 2018, 2019 and 2020, which produced outstanding wines in the Bordelais. The cuvée consists of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot.The appeal of this wine lies in its creaminess and fine fruit, with underlying sweet aromas. Blue and black berries, cassis, tobacco and chocolate delight the nose. Silky on the palate, with a medium-full body, toasty notes from the wood, which do not dominate, and polished tannins.
