Beim L’Altro, der hauptsächlich aus Chardonnay, mit einem kleinen Anteil Sauvignon Blanc hergestellt wird, liegt der Fokus klar auf der Frische und Fruchtigkeit, mit einer schönen Mineralität und etwas Vanille-Noten. Unterstützt wird das Aromenbild von wunderbaren Anklängen von Nektarine, Zitrus-Früchten und etwas Honig.

Dieser elegante und saftige weiße Italiener stammt von drei unterschiedlichen Parzellen, die im Familienbesitz des Weingutes sind und wird im Stahltank vergoren, wobei der trockene Chardonnay noch etwas im Barrique nachreift, um ihm noch mehr Schmelz und Charakter zu verleihen.

Ein toller, frischer Weißwein, nicht nur für den Sommer. Der Pio Cesare L’Altro Chardonnay Langhe DOC lässt sich sowohl als Aperitif einsetzen, passt allerdings auch herrlich zu Fischgerichten, Muscheln, Huhn und knackigen Salaten.

Die Nebbiolo-Trauben für diesen klassischen Barolo stammen von den schönsten Hängen im Piemont. Sie werden auf den familieneigenen Weinbergen in Serralunga d'Alba (Ornato, La Serra und Briccolina), Grinzane Cavour (Gustava und Garretti), La Morra (Roncaglie), Novello (Ravera) und Monforte (Mosconi) angebaut. Seit Generationen wird der Barolo aus Trauben verschiedener Regionen hergestellt. Diese traditionelle Formel wird von den Barolo-Produzenten verwendet, um Weine herzustellen, die alle Merkmale des Barolo-Gebiets in sich vereinen. Die Trauben werden von Hand geerntet und sortiert und nur bei perfekter Reife von Mitte Oktober bis Anfang November geerntet.Der Pio Cesare Barolo DOCG ist von einer wunderschönen, kerzenroten Farbe. In der Nase breit und komplex, kraftvoll, kräuterig, erdig, Rosen, Trüffel und Lorbeer. Am Gaumen kraftvoll, aber auch samtig und weich, schön ausgewogen, mit viel Finesse und mit schönen Tanninen. The Nebbiolo Lange DOC from the Italian winery Pio Cesare in Piedmont is a pure Nebbiolo. The world-famous Barolo and Barbaresco wines are also made from this well-known grape. However, if the latter red representatives of northern Italy are too weighty for you, the Nebbiolo Langhe DOC is just the thing. Although it is similar to its big brothers, it is more of a lighter and dancier version. One of the reasons for this is that the grapes for the Pio Cesare Nebbiolo Langhe DOC are harvested a little earlier and fermentation on the skins only takes around 12-13 days.The result is a dry red wine that is a lighter version of the great wines, but still has a clear personality, with the typical character of Nebbiolo, but in a more accessible form, with plenty of finesse and smoothness.This Nebbiolo is deliciously smoky and spicy on the nose, with hints of cherry fruit, floral, vanilla and bay leaf.Soft and supple on the palate, powerful at the same time, a real personality, cherries, vanilla, cream, good tannins and a fresh acidity on the finish.The Nebbiolo Langhe DOC is an excellent accompaniment to meat-based main courses full of character, salads, cold starters or lightly matured cheeses.
