Manz Handwerk Spätburgunder dry

"An entry-level Pinot that is fun to drink." This is how the winery itself advertises its Manz Handwerk Spätburgunder dry. And the makers of this Pinot Noir keep their promise.

The dry red wine from Rheinhessen flows ruby red with a garnet shimmer into the glass. It has a wonderfully stimulating aroma of dark berries (blackcurrants and cherries). The bouquet is wonderfully rounded off by a fine spiciness. On the palate, the Manz Handwerk Spätburgunder grown on clay marl is dry and velvety, with medium density and a lovely length.

Located around 25 kilometers south of Mainz, the Manz winery, whose history dates back to 1725, has made a name for itself in the wine world. Manz wines are divided into three quality levels: The lines are called Craft, Passion and Fascination. And probably few wineries can claim to stand for these terms as much as the winery from Weinolsheim, which is now in its ninth generation.

Enjoy the Manz Handwerk Spätburgunder aged in wooden barrels at a drinking temperature of 16 to 18 degrees. Discover the Pinot Noir from Rheinhessen with mild soft or fresh cheese, for example. It is also an excellent choice with a chicken and mushroom casserole or a mushroom pan à la crème.
