Nik Weis – das steht an erster Stelle für phänomenalen Riesling von Mosel und Saar. Aber auch beim Pinot Noir zeigt das Ausnahmeweingut seine Weinbaukunst und bringt das besondere Terroir eindrucksvoll zur Geltung. Der Nik Weis Pinot Noir stammt von 30 bis 40 Jahre alten Reben und einem der ältesten Pinot-Weinberge der Region.

Der reinsortige Pinot Noir hat im Glas eine schöne rubinrote Farbe. Er duftet wunderbar nach roten Beerenfrüchten und Pflaumen. Dazu kommen perfekt harmonierende erdige und rauchige Töne sowie feine Gewürznoten.

Am Gaumen ist der reinsortige Spätburgunder trocken, weich, körperreich und elegant. Mit merklichen, aber gekonnt integrierten Tanninen, feiner Struktur und einer bemerkenswerten aromatischen Tiefe (Waldbeeren, Steinobst, aber auch eine schöne Würze). Das Finale klingt länger nach.

12 Monate reifte der Nik Weis Pinot Noir, der von einer Mixtur aus Schwemmland-Boden mit Sand, Kies und Lehm stammt, angereichert von rotem Tonschiefer, im Barrique. Genießen Sie den Spätburgunder bei einer Trinktemperatur von 10 Grad. Sie werden schnell feststellen: Nik Weis ist nicht nur ein Garant für höchsten Weißwein-Genuss. Der Sankt Urbans-Hof im Mosel-Saar-Gebiet wurde 1947 von Nicolaus Weis gegründet. Sein Enkel Nik Weis trat 1997 in das elterliche Weingut ein und führt seit 2002 gemeinsam mit seiner Frau Daniela Weis, die selbst Winzertochter und diplomierte Kauffrau ist, das Weingut.

Die Rebfläche vom Weingut Sankt Urbans-Hof erstreckt sich über drei Mosel- und drei Saarlagen. Es gibt drei Grand-Cru-Lagen (Leiwener Laurentiuslay, Ockfener Bockstein, Piesporter Goldtröpfchen) und drei Ortslagen (Wiltinger, Saarfeilser, Mehringer), auf denen Nik Weis und sein Team ausdrucksstarke Weine erzeugen.

Das Weingut Sankt Urbans-Hof gehört mit einer Rebfläche von 35 Hektar zu den größten und wichtigsten des Mosel-Saar-Anbaugebietes. Der klare und qualitätsbewusste Stil wurde bereits mehrfach prämiert. Im März 2010 erhielt Nik Weis bei den "Feinschmecker" Wine Awards die Auszeichnung für die Wein-Kollektion des Jahres für das Weingut Sankt Urbans-Hof. Das Weingut exportiert auch in internationale Märkte und ist bekannt für Spitzen-Rieslinge.
