The By.OTT Rosé is a refined yet modern rosé wine from Provence, vinified by the prestigious Domaine Ott. The estate has been synonymous with top quality and terroir-driven wines for over a century. The By.OTT is produced from grapes from the Côtes de Provence in the immediate vicinity of the Mediterranean coast - in a region that is considered the benchmark for high-quality rosé wine worldwide.

Predominantly Grenache and smaller proportions of Cinsault and Syrah (Shiraz) produce this elegant, pleasant rosé wine, which is pale pink with orange undertones.

The nose has a wonderfully fresh, animating fruit bouquet. Notes of white peach, apricot, passion fruit and mango await the connoisseur. On the palate, the By.Ott is full, fresh and crisp.

Here, too, the great fruitiness is dominant, with citrus notes and a lovely sweet spiciness (cinnamon and cardamom) rounding off the taste experience.

This Provence rosé is a versatile accompaniment to summer dishes such as grilled prawns, Mediterranean vegetable dishes, salads with goat's cheese or tapenade on toasted bread. It also cuts an excellent figure as a stylish aperitif.

Das Weingut Domaines Ott in der Provence blickt auf eine lange Geschichte zurück. Im Jahr 1896 bereiste Marcel Ott die französischen Weinanbaugebiete und verlor sein Herz an die Provence. Der französische Weinbau erholte sich in diesen Jahren noch von den katastrophalen Schäden durch den Reblaus-Befall. Ott verschrieb sich dem Ziel, den Weinanbau nicht möglichst schnell zu reaktivieren, sondern mit größtmöglicher Qualität neu aufzubauen. Mit entschlossener Leidenschaft begann Marcel Ott die Neubepflanzung aller Bereiche mit Rebsorten der großen Weine der Provence, deren unvergleichliche Prägekraft wieder zur Geltung kommen sollte.

Dieser Idee blieben die Inhaber von Generation zu Generation treu. In den drei zu Domaines Ott gehörenden Weingütern Le Château de Selle, Le Clos Mireille und Castle Romassan hat die Familie Ott exzellente Roséweine entwickelt, die in den renommiertesten Gourmet-Restaurants der Welt angeboten werden. Seit 2009 haben die beiden Cousins Christian und Jean-François Ott die Geschicke bei Domaines Ott übernommen.

Domaines Ott Clos Mireille Blanc de Blancs

Pale yellow in colour with flecks of grey-gold. Enigmatic nose blending a range of aromas, with hints of exotic fruit and peach, light and zingy citrus fruit, and floral top notes of lime-blossom and hawthorn. In the mouth, this full and aromatic wine displays perfect balance, with initial fresh notes of grapefruit and lemongrass that develop a roundness and creaminess of white fruit in the palate. Lingering finish is reminiscent of the Clos Mireille terroir, with iodine notes and a soft, liquorice sweetness.

Whispering Angel Rose

This seductive rosé from the Côtes de Provence offers wonderful notes of strawberry, lemon, cherry and jasmine. On the palate, with nice minerality and elegance.Hard to believe, but this is an entry level wine of the Château. This rosé from Château d'Esclans is phenomenal. Fragrant notes of mango and nectarine on the nose. On the palate, spicy and minerally with impressive depth. The finish is exceptionally long. An unforgettable rosé of Côtes de Provence, created mainly of Grenache and a minor proportion Rolle (Vermentino).The grapes for the Château d'Esclans Garrus come from vines that are at least 80 years old. For this rosé the Saignée method was used (90% free run juice, 10% first slight pressing). Eight months matured the wine in oak barrels, with regular bâtonnage, the stirring of the lees.
