Chante Alouette 2018 is a typical Bordeaux from the right bank of the Saint-Émilion appellation. The vineyards are located between such famous neighbors as Château Pavie and La Gaffeliére; the sand and clay soils, in addition to careful vinification, are responsible for producing particularly elegant and rich wines with a lot of charm.

Château Chante Aloutte was taken over in 1995 by the Guy d'Arfeuille family, who combine the best of tradition and modernity while respecting and appreciating nature. The blend consists of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. It is matured in barriques with 30% new wood for one year.

The 2018 Chante Alouette has a deep garnet-purple color. Blueberries, sweet cherries, licorice, baked plums, tobacco and violets on the nose. The palate is wonderfully elegant, opening up a world of dark fruits with chocolate. Lots of velvet and well-integrated tannins with an intense finish complete a very rounded picture of the exceptional 2018 vintage.

A wonderful solo wine, drinkable now until around 2038, which also cuts an excellent figure with game, braised meat, grilled lamb or hard cheese.

Château Tessendey Fronsac AOC 2019

Der Château Tessendey 2019, aus der renommierten Appellation Fronsac im Bordelais, hat uns bei einer großen Verkostung, die im Rahmen der Primeur-Kampagne in Bordeaux stattfand, mehr als überzeugt. Er stach, was seine Qualität und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis betrifft, aus der Masse der Konkurrenten heraus.Dieses Weingut ist seit 1972 im Besitz der Familie d’Arfeuille; die Cuvée ist typisch für das rechte Ufer Bordeaux, besteht sie doch aus weit überwiegend Merlot, mit einem Anteil von etwa 15% Cabernet Franc. 2019 ist anerkannter Maßen ein sehr gelungener Jahrgang und die Lehmböden mit darunter liegendem Kalksockel konnten hier ihr bemerkenswertes Potential ausspielen. Dementsprechend kraftvoll und intensiv, aber dennoch fein, kommt der Tessendey 2019 daher. In der Nase ein großer Fruchtkorb voll schwarzer und roter Beeren, Toast, Schokolade und viel Würzigkeit. Am Gaumen setzt sich dieses Erlebnis fort, mit weiteren Anklängen von Muskatnuss und Brombeeren. Die Tannine sind vorhanden, aber bereits jetzt schon gut integriert und geschliffen; der Ausklang ist lang.

Wir freuen uns, Ihnen diese spezielle Cuvée des Château Pré la Lande präsentieren zu können. Nicht nur, weil dieser Wein aus dem herausragenden Jahr 2016 stammt; auch weil er vegan ist, produziert nach dem "Demeter"- Standard und anerkannt unter dem Gütesiegel "AB", dem vom französischen Agrarministerium vergebenen offiziellen Siegel für Erzeugnisse aus biologischem Anbau.Das Château und die Weingärten liegen in Pineuilh, an einem Hang der Appellation Sainte Foy Côtes de Bordeaux, wo der Boden ausschließlich aus Ton auf einer Kalksteinschicht besteht. Das ist die Garantie für einen Wein, der Eleganz und Persönlichkeit vereint.Die Kaltmazeration wird nur unter Verwendung wilder Hefen durchgeführt. Es werden keine Sulfite während der Weinbereitung eingesetzt. Die Maischegärung dauert 5 Wochen. Die anschließende Reifung erfolgt für ca. 15 Monate in hochkarätigen französischen Eichenfässern von 300 Litern, wovon 40% neu sind. Die Assemblage besteht aus Merlot und Cabernet Franc.Die Farbe dieses wunderbaren trockenen Bordeaux ist tiefrot, die Nase ist komplex mit Aromen von roten und schwarzen Früchten, Zedernholz, Vanille und Wildkräutern. Im Mund findet man eine Mischung aus Kraft und Eleganz. Die Tannine sind fein und dicht, aber sehr gut eingebunden. Das Finale ist lang und weich mit Aromen von roten Früchten.Ein toller französischer Wein, aus umweltschonendster Herstellung, der bereits jetzt trinkreif ist, aber sicherlich noch einige Jahre auf dem Höhepunkt bleiben sollte.Als Solo-Wein prima zu genießen, aber auch passend zu Grillfleisch, Ratatouille oder Pasta-Gerichten.

Château Charmail is known for producing wines that very often score significantly higher than their price would suggest. Charmail, classified as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, was taken over by Oliver Seze in the 1980s and underwent a "horse cure" of renewal until the wines once again reached the level of the terroir on which its vines grow. As a neighbor of Sociando-Mallet and Phélan-Ségur, the Gironde is not far away and the wine is now one of the best in the Haut-Médoc. Seze is still active as a consultant, but has handed over the vineyard to Bernard d'Halluin and his daughter Marie.2018 is the first year of the "dream trilogy" 2018, 2019 and 2020, which produced outstanding wines in the Bordelais. The cuvée consists of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot.The appeal of this wine lies in its creaminess and fine fruit, with underlying sweet aromas. Blue and black berries, cassis, tobacco and chocolate delight the nose. Silky on the palate, with a medium-full body, toasty notes from the wood, which do not dominate, and polished tannins. The finish is long lasting.This elegant and balanced Haut-Médoc is already ready to drink, but only after about an hour of decanting. The vines grow on gravelly soils with limestone and clay, which give the grapes a special finesse and structure. The Château Fontesteau vineyard, known for its sustainable cultivation, produces a great red wine that harmoniously combines elegance and power.In the glass, the wine is a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose reveals a complex interplay of aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries and ripe cherries, accompanied by subtle hints of violets, cedar wood and roasted cocoa beans. It is full-bodied on the palate, with a fine tannin structure, well-integrated acidity and a long, spicy finish with notes of licorice and tobacco.The grapes are carefully selected and vinified traditionally. Château Fontesteau Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois Supérieur AC 2019 was matured in 75% barrique barrels, 20% of which were new. This gave it additional depth and elegance.
