Château de Chemilly Chablis 1er Cru Grande Réserve

For more than 40 years, the Château de Chemilly winery has been producing wine in the various appellations of Chablis. Chablis is the northernmost part of Burgundy and one of the most famous white wine origins in France. The wine-growing region is characterized by chalky and calcareous soils, which give the wine a certain minerality. The most commonly cultivated grape variety is Chardonnay, from which Chablis is produced. Château de Chemilly Chablis 1er Cru Grande Réserve is an exceptional cuvée made from grapes from the Vosgros and Vaucoupin vineyards.

The French white wine shines in a green-golden color. Wonderful aromas of citrus fruits, lemon peel, apples and pears play around the nose. On the palate, the single-varietal Château de Chemilly 1er Cru Grande Réserve is intense and complex with a pleasant acidity. Its finish seems endless.

Chablis wines are an excellent accompaniment to fish, seafood or white meat such as veal or poultry. This dry white wine is particularly enjoyable at a drinking temperature of 8-10°C.

The palate is not too full-bodied, with polished tannins and good structure. A rather softer representative of the left bank, but still a very classic Bordeaux. The finish is long and flattering.Château Cantemerle 2019 should be allowed to mature for at least three years before 2022 in order to maximize the drinking experience.James Suckling: 95/100Decanter: 92/100Robert Parker: 92/100
