This pure varietal Shiraz was aged for six months in new American oak casks. The grapes come from the Murray Darling region located in Victoria, where two of Australia’s biggest rivers flow together. Die Wein-Linie „19 Crimes“ erinnert an in Großbritannien Verurteilte, die beginnend im späten 18. Jahrhundert nach Australien verbannt wurden. Diejenigen, die die Schiffsreise überlebten, bauten sich in vielen Fällen ein neues Leben auf und waren mithin Teil eines neu entstehenden Landes. Der „19 Crimes Red Wine Behind Bars“ ist John Boyle O'Reilly, der 1867 verurteilt wurde, gewidmet. Für diesen australischen Blend aus Shiraz und Cabernet Sauvignon wurden alle Trauben bei jeweils optimaler Reife glesen. Er duftet nach reifen roten und reifen dunklen Beeren. Dazu kommen feine Nuancen von Schokolade, Vanille und Zeder. Am Gaumen ist der Rotwein aus Süd-Ost-Australien vollmundig und rund, mit einer sehr feinen Süße. Das Finale ist geschmeidig und fruchtbetont, mit einer bleibenden Frische.
